Paper plates seem like a great alternative to plastic right??? However:
🚫Paper plates unfortunately cannot be recycled due to food residue, but those without a plastic coating can be composted♻️ The packaging usually indicates whether the plates are suitable for composting or have a plastic coating.

Paper plates cannot be recycled using your local council’s kerbside recycling bin, bag or box or your local Household Waste Recycling Centre. Paper plates can be disposed of in your local council’s kerbside residual bin.
