Hunni (winners of The Voice 2023 as Jen and Liv) seen here performing during Durham Christmas Festival. And they're back in Durham on Monday in the Market Place alongside our fully festive extra Outdoor Market.

The Outdoor Market is open from 10am to 3.30pm - come and sort out everything you still need for Christmas (and a few extras) at our Outdoor Market, and in Durham Market Hall.

We've really missed out Outdoor Market in December - it's been cancelled so many times because of high winds. BUT we've all got one last chance before Christmas to make a real difference by shopping with small local businesses, because ..... WE'VE ONE LAST OUTDOOR MARKET ON Monday 23rd December.

With loads of festive food and drink, gift ideas, jewellery, homewares, art, photography ... as well as take away food, so you can stop by, shop, refuel ... and shop some more! And the Market Hall will be open too.

We're not open today because of high winds - the Market Hall will be open today. BUT Durham's Outdoor Market is back on Monday 23rd in the Market Place form 10am to 3.30pm - come on in and enjoy Durham, and sort all your Christmas shopping.

THANK YOU to everyone who's visited our Outdoor Market in the heart of Durham today. We were hoping to open our Outdoor Market tomorrow as well, but the wind is returning 💨💨🙁🙁

However, you can shop indoors, out of the wind in the Market Hall on Sunday 15th, open from 10am to 4pm!

We're really sorry that we can't open in Durham Market Place tomorrow. We'd like you to shop with the independents in the city for the festival, in Durham Market Hall and in the Craft & Producers' Marquee on Palace Green.
And then ... COME BACK INTO DURHAM NEXT SATURDAY, 14TH DECEMBER, WHEN WE WILL ALL BE BACK IN THE MARKET PLACE!

WE'D LOVE TO SEE YOU THEN - THANK YOU FOR BACKING OUR CITY'S INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES.

***UPDATE FOR SUNDAY 8th DECEMBER***
The only change to Sunday is there will be no outdoor market in Durham Market Place.

✅Craft & Producers' Marquee will be OPEN for SUNDAY.
❌Festive Outdoor Market in Durham Market Place will be closed for SUNDAY
✅Durham Market Hall will be OPEN on Sunday 8th

We shall have storytelling and children’s crafts in The Pemberton Rooms on Palace Green and entertainment on Palace Green and in the marquee.

If you had advance tickets for the Marquee for Saturday 7th, they will be valid on Sunday 8th. Without advance tickets, it’s £5 on the door.

Because of high winds, our Festive Outdoor Market at Durham Christmas Festival will NOT BE OPEN on Saturday 7th.

Durham Market Hall WILL be open on Saturday 7th.

We shall decide on Saturday whether we will be able to open on Sunday and will update here.

In light of the latest weather forecast, we have had to make changes to the schedule for Saturday's festival

❌Craft & Producers' Marquee will be closed for Saturday (will reopen on Sunday)
❌Festive Outdoor Market in Durham Market Place will be closed for Saturday (decision will be made on Saturday regarding Sunday's market)
✅Durham Market Hall will be OPEN on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th
✅CHILDREN'S LANTERN PARADE WILL GO AHEAD

If you have advance tickets for the Marquee for Saturday 7th, they will be valid on Sunday 8th.
