How it ended!!!!

2 absolutely amazing runners, both with fantastic support crews behind them.

Joe was strong throughout and a true gentleman.

Isaac took the win and finished with a smile, as he did every lap.

Really hope to see both back next year!!!!

This why we do it!!!

Starting Gert Lush Events was never where I thought I would end up.

However since starting with the Berkeley Marathons and seeing how as a race director I was able to not only put on great events, but use those events to improve the lives of others around me, well I have not looked back!!!

So when my daughter came home and said in a few months we are going to do a charity run around our school, I asked a few questions. After speaking to the amazing staff I suggested that I come down and set up the start finish line and that we get medals and bib numbers! This made it feel like a real event and the children LOVED it, with all of them really pushing for that extra lap.

Gert lush helped the school put on an event that the children would remember for a long time and hopefully inspire them to get out running and push beyond their comfort zone.

What did I get out of it……….an awkward look from my daughter and that is worth the world to me❤️❤️❤️❤️

Give back, because what you will get back is amazing!

As part of our “positive social impact project” we are supporting local community groups with funds from our events.

The Highfields Community Garden was on its last legs, they needed help with engagement, funding and social media. So we stepped in and offered help in all 3 areas.

The result speaks for itself and it is going from strength to strength and people who live next door to each other but had never spoke, have now become firm friends with a common goal.

Do fancy a fantastic day of running?

We’ll get signed up for the Bigmoose ultra fun run in Cardiff on the 14th of April, tickets only £15 and it all goes to charity!!!!!!

You can do one 5km loop, ten 5km loops or anything in between.
