Today we pause to honour the life of an incredible man - Captain Sir Tom Moore - on what would have been his 103rd birthday.
A veteran of World War II, he championed the causes of others and devoted his later years to helping others in need. His courage and selfless actions touched the hearts of millions worldwide and serves as a reminder that even in the darkest times, we can make a difference. ❤️

My behind the scenes snap! Just off stage our wonderful winners were interviewed at ‘The Most Delicious Awards in Britain!’ British Kebab Awards

🏆 It was brilliant to see Dem Shish Restaurant & Cocktail Bar win this prestigious award from among the best of the best in the nation.

They dedicated this great achievement to as they’ve received such a tremendous reception from people in our town. 💛

👏🏻I was proud to be there to be the first to congratulate them and to thank them for putting Eastbourne on the map.

On the night, I invited the event sponsor, Karan Bilimoria, founder of global brand Cobra Beer, to come to Eastbourne to taste and see! I hope to welcome him soon.

They started this brilliant new business during the pandemic which says everything about their positivity.

Not just a fabulous new business but people with real heart- you can see that in their Christmas event bringing people together who otherwise would be alone and in their recent fundraiser following the trauma and tragedy of the earthquake in Turkey.

This award is a fitting tribute to all they do.
