Crested Geckos. In my opinion one of the best reptiles to start off with if your looking to get a reptile. They have some of the most attainable care requirements. They don't eat mice their diet is some live food like crickets or locusts and then Crested Gecko Diet which is a powder you mix with water. The adults I have rescued don't touch bugs and just eat their diet. Lira my baby will sometimes eat bugs but they are happy to eat their CGD and are all healthy and weight gaining. Due to them requiring height rather then floor space that means they don't take up as much room. They can be skitty and a little jumpy when young but if handled and cared for correctly they will calm down and be absolutely chill, I have 1 adult who is a bit crazy 1 adult that is super chill and my baby Lira who I have raised from day 1 is amazing when being handled.

If you are looking to get into reptile keeping please contact me and I will give as much advise as I can, we also offer small reptile care and husbandry advise we're you can come meet our animals and have a more personal time with them, we will also go through the basics and safety tips. Zero our Heterometrus longimanus scorpion had their first molt with us. Scorpions exoskelton is made of Chitin which is a protein that once hardened won't change shape or size, so as the scorpion grows it will molt it's old exoskelton and the new exoskelton will harden and the process repeats until they reach maturity. The molt is like a clear replica of the Scorpion.

Some new members of the Stevie's Scales family. 2 jungle nymphs and and 2 giant millipedes all with growing room. All are perfect for handling and is an experience you won't want to miss!

Meet the Scale's: Welcome our new addition Ozzie the Gargoyle Gecko. Gargoyle Geckos come from the same island as Crested Geckos but are known to get a little bigger and almost twice as heavy. Unlike Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos can drop their tails and regrow them.

We just got back from joining for their Halloween family day. CJ joined us today for his first Stevie's Scales event, and he was an absolute superstar!!!! We have a blast at Old Dunnings Mill. We even went over our alloted time because the ques never seemed to end! My favourite kind of event! Looming forward to being invited back to such a lovly pub

Look at the progress little Brave has made, he was the first baby to find his forever home. Brave was the baby that flew out the egg and now is hunting and chomping locusts. Bryce is about to shed and she was feeling a little dry so I grabbed my coco block bucket and started filling it with a hose before I had finished she was making her way in and then spent over half and hour just sitting and moving around the water and I never had to redirect her, she was in so long the layer of skin to shed started to come off so I tried to get back in her enclosure and she proceeded she use my hand like a tree or branch and have her shed while on me!
