The Prestonpans mural festival will take on the 10th and 11th of June this year, as part of the three harbours arts festival. Five artists will be creating a mural in a weekend inside Cuthill park. The theme will be "Prestonpans skyline" the artists selected are Paul Dalrymple, David hood, Sally Richardson, Zoe inglis and myself. Everyone is welcome to come along and see what we create. This year's mural festival will be in the first weekend of the 3 harbours arts festival 2017. We will be creating a mural in a weekend in Cuthill Park. More news to follow.

If you would like to enter the competition this year please send your design to me by email. Send a jpg of your design to [email protected]
Your design should be 1 up and 2 across in scale...as in, 6" by 12", landscape format. But no larger than A3...Or you can send your drawing to me through the post. Just email me for my address, or with any other questions. Those selected to compete in the festival will be notified at least two weeks before the competition. Good luck.

The murals will be painted on 8x4 ft board in cuthill park, attached to the bowling club wall. The paintings will then remain on display in cuthill park all year round. Each artist will receive the same selection of water based paints. Artists must provide there own brushes. The artists have from 11 til 6 Saturday and Sunday to complete the work. A small commitee will then judge the winners.

This year there will be five contestants in the mural festival. Each will receive £200 for taking part. 2nd place will receive and extra £100, and first will receive an e tea £300. If you would like to take part you can send your entries to me at [email protected]
