On Saturday we catered for a wonderful event in Edinburgh. We were asked by a client to pair 12 canapés to 12 beautiful bottles of wine.

I totally loved designing this menu, it was great fun.

Last weekend I had a great time exploring Dumfries and Galloway's foodie attractions:

I started at Station House Cookery School where I participated in a fun Christmas dinner class where chef Nick Morris introduced us to the best sea salt I ever tasted: 😋

In order to buy the sea salt I visited and discovered a total gem! If you are ever in Kirkcudbright you have to visit this deli, they have an amazing selection of organic wine and excellent products including beautifully crafted chocolates and brilliant cheeses.

The following morning I visited Dumfries food market at the station, lots of interesting stalls full of local produce and interesting brands I have never came across before.

We catered for a wedding in Glasgow at the weekend. Despite the challenges the weather gave us to get there, we managed to create an amazing service including canapés for the reception, a luxury buffet and pudding for 60 people as well as evening food for 100 guests!

I found these beauties at a Deli in Edinburgh and gave me a taste of home. It's amazing how taste and smell can take us back to places and past experiences.

Alfajores are a popular sweet in Argentina where I'm from. They are made with 2 homemade tender biscuits and a heart of dulce de leche, a delicious and much better version of caramel. Then everything is covered in great chocolate, totally irresistible 😋

I discovered a little gem in Edinburgh last week: a fantastic Ethiopian restaurant run by the lovely Muna.

Muna makes the most delicious injera sourdough pancakes served with beautiful curries. And her homemade honey wine is out of this world!

Service was excellent, Muna herself came to chat with us, put hats on our heads and kept bringing things for us to try, incredible kind and generous!

I highly recommend you to try it, it's near Tollcross, great food, great service, great value for money! And it's very close to the Cameo, my favourite cinema ever!

These carrots are lovely, best to eat fresh in a salad or as crudite with dips as they are incredible sweet and crunchy 🥕

Last weekend I had the chance to trial a few new recipes. These lovely morning rolls were a total hit. Made of organic rye flour and organic white flour, super soft and yummy!

We had great fun yesterday at Cyrenians cookery school with team creating beautiful sushi.

Participants had a chance to take part in a hands on experience in the kitchen, preparing all the toppings for their sushi rolls and nigirisushi.

We used beautiful fresh fish from including salmon, tuna and white crab. We made tempura prawn, lots of lovely vegetables and we created colourful sushi too. We had a feast!

I was impressed to see how well the rolls turned out, well done guys!

I'm very excited to work in partnership with the .centre. I will be teaching a healthy cookery class on Sat 2nd November.

Join me for a friendly and relaxed cookery class where you'll explore healthy food habits and get hands-on experience preparing delicious dishes. The plan includes making a variety of dips, a flavorful soup, and vibrant super salads. You’ll learn new ideas, exciting flavor combinations, and tips to take back to your own kitchen.

At the end of the class, we’ll share the food we’ve created and have time for socialising with fellow participants. It’s a fun way to learn, eat, and connect!
