Participate in a beautiful, unique full moon sister circle that will nourish your soul and help you to connect you to your deepest knowing

Joanna Anderson is a specialist women's abdominal therapy practitioner and complimentary health therapist . In her private practice Jo works with women offering completely unique, tailor made treatments designed to support their physical, mental, and emotional well being. One tool that Jo is passionate about using with her clients is Moon Cycle work.

Jo say's... "Tuning into your cycle is a deeply empowering and nourishing gift to yourself".

What is our collective and individual relationship with the moon and her cycles? What are the the historical origins of observing moon practice? How can we use the cycles of the moon to enhance our lives and help us understand ourselves and others better. How can we tune in to the natural ebb and flow that comes with the cycles of the moon each month?

Take some much needed and deserved time, just for you, and join us on April 16th for a soul nourishing Full Moon Circle where Jo will be leading the group in a powerful PINK MOON sister circle.

What's special about observing this Moon?

Our theme for this months circle is all about connecting to a sacred, spiritual place within every woman - her womb.

Don Elijio Panti, one of the last Mayan shamans, whom Jo's teacher Dr Rosita Arvigo trained with, used to say... "The uterus is the womans core, if it is out of balance, her whole life is out of balance - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually".

There will be journalling, discussion and a guided womb meditation facilitated by Jo followed by our optional cold water dip, fire, and yummy snacks.

You will leave feeling relaxed, inspired, reinvigorated and connected to yourself in a new and wonderful way!

It’s been scientifically proven that swimming in cold water activates endorphins.

This chemical is what the brain produces to make us feel good during activities.

Cold water swimming is also a form of exercise, and exercise has been proven to treat depression.

Cold water swimming brings us close to the pain barrier. Endorphins are released when we’re in pain, to help us cope with it.

Join us this wed at 12pm for our open swim social session at portobello beach. We meet outside the beach house cafe. You’ll love it!

We spent a glorious morning on the sunny beach yesterday for our Full Moon Sister Circle.

This months theme (in line with the Virgo moon) was perfectionism.

We did a lovely white light meditation, talked around the fire and topped it all off with a lovely cold water swim.

If this sounds like your jam, come join us next month!

I recently polled a group of mums (with children of varying ages) and asked, what do you really want this Mother’s Day?

Without exception, every one of those women said “Time for myself”.

Prioritising yourself and making time for your own needs, as well as the needs of everyone around you, is definitely something most mums struggle with. Someone always needs something and usually our needs get pushed to the bottom of the list.

Each month, our lovely resident life coach and Fun Mum member .young.coaching facilitates an incredible “Reset” session for our community.

This month our theme is:
Prioritising yourself without guilt.

Join us for some relaxing meditation, life coaching session, journalling exercises and visualisation work. You will love it!

BOOK CLUB is here! 📚

For our first ever book club, we’ve chosen a book that’s widely been acknowledged as no less than “earth-shattering” and “life-altering”.

I certainly know this book by has had a dramatic impact on my life and many ways was the impetus for the creation of The Fun Mums Club!

Have you always wanted to find a friendly relaxed group to share your thoughts and feelings about your latest read? Come join us! Next in person meet up is November 14th.

The Fun Mums Club is all about bringing women together and creating a safe environment where you can relax and have fun!

Why do we keep banging on about fun? Whats so important about it?

🤸‍♀️ Having more fun improves your relationships, both at work and in life.

🤸‍♀️ Fun makes us smarter.
According to science, one way to improve our memory and concentration is to have more fun. Partially, this has to do with the stress reduction that happens when we engage in something we enjoy.

🤸‍♀️ Fun reduces stress.
You probably do not need science to inherently know this already: engaging in enjoyable activities can be an especially powerful antidote to stress. It has been recognized in several studies that spontaneous laughter has a stress-buffering effect that helps us better cope with stress. According to one study, individuals who laughed less had more negative emotions when compared to those who laughed more. In contrast, those who laughed more showed fewer negative feelings even when stressful situations increased (Kuiper & Martin, 1998).

🤸‍♀️ Finding more fun in physical activity balances your hormone levels.

🤸‍♀️ Fun can make you more energetic and youthful!

Stress is draining — it can suck the life out of us, making us tired and cranky. When we effectively reduce our stress levels, this can often provide us with a new boost of vitality. Having fun and playing have traditionally been connected with children and the early years of our development. However, many philosophers and psychologists emphasize the importance of play as we get older. Plato professed that life must be lived as play, and George Bernard Shaw famously said: We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Finding time for Fun can feel overwhelming. The Fun Mums Club takes all the stress out of planning fun things to do. We pride ourselves on curating the best experiences for MAX fun and minimum effort from you. All you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself!

Check out our bio for October and November’s events schedules. Book now and have more fun!

What is Club?

We’ve noticed from previous experience that some running groups can feel a bit too serious (where’s the fun in that!?), and so we wanted to create a safe space for women to run to FEEL good without feeling under any pressure.

Within our sisterhood we are not competitive with each other! Instead we will all set our own goals and celebrate our own, and each other’s wins.

is our motto!

Come and join us!
