Things have been as busy as ever here at QAV Global, with the Live & Virtual Events team managing projects across 8 countries including Austria, Canada, Germany, India, Singapore, Spain, the UK and the USA!

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the untimely death of Ed Noble (Technical Director, Co-Owner of QAV and valued friend). It is a very sad time for his family and the staff here.

Ed has dedicated the last 24 years to QAV from day 1 and shaped QAV into the company it is today. Having worked in the industry many years prior to QAV, along the way he has made many friends, leaving a big impact on all and he will be sorely missed.

We have been onsite in Madrid, Spain this week for a large-scale Investigator Meeting. The 560 in-person hybrid meeting featured a 40m wide, 4 screen stage-set with client branding. Delegates were able to interact with QAV's question submission app. In addition to the large in-person audience, the meeting was broadcast to 310 virtual attendees using QAV's virtual meeting platform NGAGE.

We have been onsite in Osaka, Japan this week for an Investigator Meeting. The 160-person hybrid meeting featured a dual screen stage-set with our re-useable travel panels providing client branding. Delegates were able to interact and ask questions via our in-house question submission application and the meeting was translated into 3 languages. After the meeting had concluded they managed to get out for a day at Universal Studios Japan before returning to the UK.

For a third year running QAV are proud to support Team BRIT and one of their drivers and friend of QAV Paul Fullick Racing. This year Paul is driving their McLaren 570S GT4.

Paul said 'We had an amazing testing session in Portugal. We got a combined 1855km around the Algarve international track at race pace with almost perfect running - a great shape to start the season in!

The weather wasn’t kind to us on day one, but raining is still training and we made the most of it - nothing like getting in at the deep end! The rest of the trip saw sunshine and perfect temperatures.'

We wish Paul and Team BRIT all the best for the upcoming racing season!

At QAV we try to give back to our local community where and when possible; recently we helped at a charitable event, which a local family organised to raise funds and awareness for Blood Cancer UK.

It is always nice to hear that not only the event went well, but that charity benefited; and it is also very much appreciated to receive thanks from the organisers.

"Every year, we hold a quiz night in memory of my daughter Ellie who we lost to Leukemia aged 18, to raise money for Blood Cancer UK. The quiz is well attended with over 200 people coming on the night, so we were so grateful to have the support of QAV this year to help us with the sound. The system they provided made sure that everyone in the room could hear the event speaker. We raised over £4000 and thanks to the brilliant support of QAV, all the money raised went to the charity. Thank you very much."

The US office have been back for a second year in Scottsdale, Arizona to produce a 2-day conference. The general sessions featured a stunning custom-printed dual-screen stage set plus, three breakout rooms with live-streamed sessions! When the sun set, we transformed the general session room into the setting for an awards dinner with a photo wall to capture all the memories.

A team from the UK office are back from Prague having produced a 1-day conference. The main plenary setup included a large, custom printed triple screen stage-set with the addition of a secondary 4-screen mini-plenary room and 7 breakouts. The meeting was live streamed to over 100 delegates online.

For nigh on 3 decades we have been supporting University of Hertfordshire gradutions at St Albans cathedral. This service now spans into a 3rd generation with Sam Noble joining us on Sunday for the latest installation. Congratulations to all who graduated!

Our US office is going from a busy January into an equally busy February. Recently completing a 2-day meeting in Frisco, Texas. The meeting setup included a Managers Meeting, General Sessions, 5 Breakout Rooms and an Awards dinner complete with Orange Carpet!

As some of you may have seen in the past, one of our vans has been involved in carrying aid into the Ukraine. The time has now come for it to retire from QAV but is going on to continue its valued aid work. In its place QAV have just taken delivery of a new vehicle. Significantly better for the environment with lower emissions than its predecessor and with an increased payload due to ultralightweight high strength panels. Plus this vehicle is made from 100% recyclable composite material.
