Apologies for the delay in writing this post but I am currently working away. The feedback from Saturday night at Ruby's has been incredible. Cody Lee & The Boogie Boys blew the roof off Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall and kept you on the floor for every song. Thank you guys for two amazing sets. You are such a talented group.

We really do appreciate your continued support and we are glad to hear you had such a nice time. I think the photos from the evening (please see Album 251) say it all.... so many happy faces! These were so professionally taken by Peter Stockwell and John Reid who always capture such lovely memories for us. Thank you both very much.

One final acknowledgement has to go to DJ Stompin Stone (Phil Stone) for covering me on the decks. It was nice to see you back mate.... and to Caroline Stone for all the support you gave us behind the scenes. You are fantastic friends.

Apologies for the delay in posting this months photos from Ruby's on Saturday night only I am currently working away.

Matt King took this gig with just two weeks notice and we were very fortunate to be able to book him. Matt did not disappoint in his tribute to Elvis. Hitting the stage in his gold jacket from the NBC 68 special, his stage presence was second to none and he gave us everything. From jivers to strollers, ballads, and even the conga to 'Viva Las Vegas.' Thank you Matt it was a great show.

A big thank you to you all for coming and making it such a lovely atmosphere. We really do appreciate your continued support. We must inform you that one of the band members has had a family emergency, and quite rightly they want to be there to support them. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time, and we wish them a speedy recovery. On Saturday night Danny Fisher and The Crawfish Combo made their debut at Ruby's and they didn't disappoint! What a versatile singer Danny is and The Crawfish Combo couldn't fail to entertain with such a talented line up. They really are a who's who when it comes to the very best musicians. They went down an absolute storm. Thank you so much guys!

As always you kept the dance floor jumping and your energy was amazing. Thank you very much for your continued support and for making such an incredible atmosphere. A big thank you has to go to John Reid who captured the evening for us with some great photos. You can see them on Surrey Jive's album 247).

What an absolutely incredible time we had at St Patrick's Church, Wallington on Saturday night.

Surrey Jive were asked by the church to run a Taster Jive and Stroll class and we had over 70 people in the class! Teaching was so much fun and we were admirably helped by The Jive Squadron and other experienced dancers from Surrey Jive who were worth their weight in gold. Thank so much to those who helped us and came along to support us, we were very grateful.

The Jive Squadron performed during the interval when pizza was served and the evening ended with a dance. It really was the perfect evening with the best of company.

Our dances are well attended, and you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere to greet you. Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall has a large sprung dance floor, licensed bar and large free car park. The hall is situated close to the M25.

St Patrick's Church are holding a Jive Night for those who would like to try out a jive and strolls class. Nicola & Paul from Surrey Jive will be teaching the class. The evening includes pizza and soft drinks but please feel free to bring your own alcohol if you wish.

The church centre has a large hall, free parking but NO BAR.

It was 43 years last Friday that Bill Haley sadly passed away and Phil Haley & His Comments did him proud on Saturday night at Ruby's with Surrey Jive. The guys played two high energy sets and brought that original 50's sound to Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall. They are an exceptional band who are extremely talented. Thank you guys very much.

Once again you all made it such an enjoyable evening and we are grateful for your continued support. If you would like to see the photos from the evening they are on album 244. A big thank you to Peter Stockwell, John Reid (photos to follow) and Molly Ditch for capturing the evening perfectly for us.
