Wedding Fayre time!
Tomorrow (eek!), I'm attending a Wedding Fayre in Sudbury Masonic Hall.

This wil be under my new brand which has a stylish look and is 100% dedicated to the service levels of Weddings.

This "Dance Sounds DJ" side will very much remain, but will be general parties only. This allows the new brand to be Wedding Focused but also continue to take a select number of non-Wedding bookings.

Anyway, Photos of my stand to be posted tomorrow, looking forward to meeting couples face to face tomorrow!

Hey followers!
Apologies if I've been a bit quiet over the last year.
It's been a busy one behind the scenes!

Earlier this year, I had a major theft with most of my DJ Equipment stolen. It was insured (hopefully standard for any Wedding Supplier!)
I was lucky to have some very good contacts who could help with short-term loan of equipment to help cover me until the insurance paid out.
It was stressful, but everything is replaced or upgraded.

I've re-located to Colchester, Essex! I'm taking a bit of time to settle in and due to the changes, I held back on taking new bookings for some time.
My adult Children live in the area and my Parents are close too, so it made sense to buy a house here.
Some bookings for 2023 and 2024 remain in Hertfordshire and I will be returning for Weddings bookings. 🍾

A new Website and re-Brand is underway. I'm extremely excited by this.
It's the perfect time to focus on getting this 100% right.
The service and overall quality of what I do has changed significantly since the current website was built (by me) and it just doesn't fit with what I provide, so time to hand it over to a professional to take it to the next level.

Hello! I truely hope everyone had a great Christmas and NY Break?

2022 was very memorable and I enjoyed meeting so many guests and attending many amazing parties! Every party has memories for me, either reaction to certain songs, comments by guests or the chat at the end from a very greatful client.

My diary has been taking bookings for 2023 (and beyond) for a while, I'm currently in discussions for a 2025 Wedding, so it's never too early to start chatting with suppliers - none of us will want anyone to feel rushed and with time on your side, you can take your time and make the right choice.
Personally, I don't like to feel rushed into making a decision and so extend that to my business.

What's new for 2023? Website overhaul, lose the Christmas lbs 😁 (actually not too bad -yay!), more networking with suppliers and importantly, to continue to have FUN, working with wonderful people to help with their celebrations!

Away from being part of so many amazing parties, I DO love to get out too!
Rather than a cheesy "Happy 2023!" stock photo, here is a photo of my Daughter Kay and I on a night out last year. She was finishing her Final year at Uni and so I spent the weekend with her to celebrate. ❤️

On 17th September, I was lucky to be the Wedding DJ for Olivia and Richard!
They had an amazing request list and were huge fans of The Killers (so guess the final song 🎸🎸🎸🤘!)

But, a party is the sum of many parts, so having awesome guests, and the excellent team at Country Tipis made for a superb celebration of their Wedding.

I was very touched to receive this card today. My work is over at midnight, but when couples make time to express their thanks is heartwarming! ❤️

Today, I'll be listening to one of the most iconic 80s Albums - for me at least.

Yes - Rio is 40 today! I'm still hearing parts of each song I've not noticed before, so an enjoyable morning over a nice cuppa!

The band is touring and releasing music, playing in Ibiza recently and I'll be seeing them in London later this year 🎸🎸

Happy 1 month Wedding Anniversary for the Very lovely Kelsie Racher and Simon Racher!
On the 28th July, I was lucky enough to be part of their special day.

In the 2 years build up to their day, I had regular messages from Kelsie, making me jump with Tik-Tok videos (dammed spider jumping out! 🤣) and so I truly enjoyed seeing them both so very happy.

Their friends and family were wonderful with a budding DJ/Page Boy hand-writing a small list of requests that I had the pleasure of playing AND asking him to help me press the magic button!

I'm booked for a Wedding in Ware this Saturday, and by request of the couple, I'll be outside.

Checking the Weather, it's going to be "Scorchio!" (for Ware anyway!), so looking forward to a nice Summers Evening for all.

Confused about the current rules and advice for your Wedding?

There is mention of a Risk Assessment approach, which does make total sense, but can be confusing if you're trying to do one for the 1st Time.

In some of the venues I work, Risk Assessments are commonly required (pre-covid) so I'm very used to reviewing an event and creating a document that shows understanding of the risks and how they can be mitigated.

As from today, I'm delighted to say that my service is seen to be "Wedding Safe" (Part of Guides for Brides).

To achieve, this I'm had to provide a Covid Risk assessment and Method statement, provide my Public Liability insurance and a few more details (links to website and other evidence that I'm firmly part of the UK Wedding Industry).

Luckily, I had most of these items ready to go, so it wasn't a difficult process.

Simple things like microphones for speeches are not shared (everyone has their own), are cleaned and sterilised before being placed on the table are things that I will be doing.

This won't affect the party, it'll still be FUN!

Oh my! I remember when MTV started and the pressure it put on artists to create some great (and not-so-great) music videos!

These days, it's YouTube for Videos or in my case, I've 1000's of hand-picked HQ Videos that I can play at Parties through my large 2M screens! 🤩

Well, there appears to be light at the end of this long tunnel!

21st June will hopefully mark the start of parties. This does depend on a few things falling into place, but I'm hopeful it'll turn out well.

In the meantime, I'll be chatting to clients that have been holding for clarity, testing the equipment (yay!) and getting ready to jump into action.
