A staircase arrangement is the perfect way to add an extra bit of floral luxe to your day. You can go big and adorn the whole staircase or you can have a lovely little something at the bottom like this one here at the gorgeous

The last few weeks have been jam packed with freelancing, a wedding fair, covering shifts at a local florist shop and responding to a flurry of very exciting enquiries I’ve had of late.

As busy as it’s been I’m still swooning over these beautiful pinks from last week’s wedding fair and waiting for someone to tell me that’s the colour scheme they’re dreaming of! 💕

Still swooning over these incredible poppies and hellebores. The hellebores are growing beautifully in a little pot next to my front door but I stole away a couple to use in this design yesterday. Their yellow-green centre works perfectly with the zingy green cornus frame that I made.

Well actually these are boutonnières. Did you know that strictly speaking a buttonhole is made with a single flower and a boutonnière is made with a smaller cluster of flowers?

I thought it was about time that I introduced myself on here properly so here I go …

- I’m relatively new to the world of floristry having started retraining during the pandemic at the amazing British academy of floral art. From day one of flower school I was totally hooked and as a professionally trained florist I am able to offer a wide variety of styles of floristry.

-Before floristry I was a Secondary School teacher teaching French and German. I can’t say I miss the stress of teaching but I do miss the opportunity to be a positive influence in the lives of young people. So much so that I’ve recently signed up for a volunteering role with a local charity to do just that.

- My husband and I relocated from Manchester to glorious Devon 8 years ago, and have never looked back. We welcomed our two little boys (3 and 5) to the world down here and we can’t imagine them growing up anywhere else. We’ve gone all in on the Devon lifestyle and just ordered a VW Campervan (even though we’re not really campers ) so we can visit even more of the beautiful South West and we can’t wait.

-I LOVE weddings and can guarantee that I will be as invested in your wedding as you are. Weddings are the most magical occasion where you can gather everyone you love in one room. Is there anything more special than having a room full of SO MUCH love? I would get married (to my husband) every year if I could, in fact I’ve got grand plans for a big 10 year anniversary party in 2025. This photo is of us on our special day in 2015. We got married in France and had the best weekend of our lives. I hated the flowers, and the cake for that matter, but in the end none of that mattered ❤️
