Yesterday, the day I knew would eventually come but the hoped never would, we said goodbye to my lovely Dad.

He was 86 (and a half) and had lived a full, interesting and wonderful life.

He taught me acceptance, patience and gave me guidance and unconditional love through my life.
I truly couldn’t have asked for a better Dad.

So, I found the strength from somewhere to compose and deliver his Life Tribute.
His true Celebration of Life.

To the man, the cowboy, the legend that I was lucky enough to call Dad…ride on cowboy 🤠 it was a total privilege to call myself your daughter 🌸 ###

Not sure what to make of 2024.
Like for most of us, it’s been a challenging year.

Moved house, had to say goodbye to our lovely Labrador Ellie who was almost 15 🐾 🌈

Christmas Day gave us the biggest but sadly not unexpected blow that my lovely Dad had passed peacefully after 86 wonderful years. All this within 10 days 💔

I’ve deliberately made changes in my life for the better and I’m grateful for them and despite our losses in 2024, I’m embracing 2025 because…well…I have to 🌸

I send my love to you all for the remainder of 2024 and I wish you peace and healing in 2025.

As we remember those we’ve loved and lost, may we be forever grateful they were in our lives 🫶 ###

I hope you are all doing okay as one of the loveliest, yet hardest times of year approaches🎄

All of us who’ve experienced loss feel a sense of emptiness and at this time of year, those feelings are intensified 💕

Be kind to yourself and take each day as it comes 🌸

My pain is mine to carry, my battles mine to face. But your presence reminds me I’m not alone in this vast, sometimes frightening world. It’s a quiet reminder that I am worthy of love, even when I feel broken.

So, in those dark hours when I lose my way, will you just be here? Not as a rescuer, but as a companion. Hold my hand until the dawn arrives, helping me remember my strength.

Your silent support is the most precious gift you can give. It’s a love that helps me remember who I am, even when I forget.

To all my families who entrust me with their loved ones life story, thank you 🌸

I’m so honoured to get to know them 🫶

This 🌸

I missed you quietly today. So quietly that no one noticed.

I missed you as I climbed out of bed and as I brushed my teeth; when I waited at the lights on the drive into work and as I heard the rain outside my window.

I missed you as I ordered lunch and as I kicked off my shoes when I got home; as I switched off the lights and climbed into bed for the night.

I missed you without tears or noise or fanfare.
But oh how I felt it.

I felt it in the morning, at lunchtime, in the evening and at night. I felt it as I woke, as I waited, as I worked. I felt it at home, on the road, in the light, in the dark, in the rain.

I felt it in every one of those moments, each one sitting heavier and heavier as the weight of me missing you kept growing and growing.

Yes, I missed you so quietly today.

But I felt it so loudly.
