Wedding planning can be exhilarating but also comes with its fair share of stresses, especially when it comes down to managing finances. Many brides and grooms start their wedding journey with high hopes of sticking to a budget but more often than not can find themselves overwhelmed by creating and sticking to a budget which can quickly spiral out of control.

It’s easy to get drawn in with a Pinterest perfect vision and pressures to creating a flawless wedding. So, sit down together and have an honest discussion about your priorities, the must haves and areas where you are both willing to compromise.

Take the time to research different suppliers, compare prices and seek out those budget friendly alternatives without sacrificing quality. Many suppliers will be willing to work with couples to find a solution that fits your budget. It might be worth adding some wriggle room for any unexpected expenses that may arise .

And last of all and the most important point, remember your wedding day is about celebrating your love and committing to each other and not about breaking the bank!

So why not check out my five tips for the busy bride:- 1. Let it go! You cannot meticulously plan and DIY every single detail of your wedding unless you have a lot of time and energy on your hands. Take a look at your list of wedding priorities. If you don’t have time to fulfil them, delegate. 2. Ask for help One thing i have learnt about wedding planning is that most people want to help. Also, delegation can be really helpful in taking things off your plate and getting things done. 3. Make use of spare time This one is really helpful for the DIY brides. For instance if you’re planning to make your invites, decorations or anything else for the wedding day, you are going to need time to devote to those projects. You may find it hard to arrange time to set aside 4-5 hours for a crafting project. Utilise your free time effectively to get jobs done. 4. Don’t waste valuable time Do your research and don’t waste your time with a venue that is way out of your budget or a florist that you’re unsure of for example. Only schedule those meetings with the suppliers you actually think you will be hiring. 5. Be Decisive When it comes time to make a decision, don’t overthink it just do it.
