Another busy weekend ๐ฆ๐๐ท
Still finding time to get some interaction time with one of our new arrivals ๐ฆ
Stevie is settling in so well, a very active and inquisitive little dude ๐ some one on one feeding and free roam time, showing me plenty of that blue tounge !

Bit of a last minute one we have had a very busy few days so the ones to come shouldnโt be past Tillies bed time ๐
Well socks our not so slingy sling has moulted and is looking beautiful !

Im not kidding when I say they jump ! And its not a joke when we call them "teleporters" ๐ท๐
I can appreciate this is some people's worst nightmare but I think this is amazing !
On a side note the carpet is messy due to me conducting a water change and spot clean on everyone so tends to get messy with the substrate coming out with some of their enrichment stuff, joys of reptile keeping ! ๐ฅฒ
No one believes us when we say how sassy Aurora can be ๐
If you have had a presentation from us you will know all about what hognoses do to defend themselves, hooding up like a cobra, hissing and bluff strikes (mouth closed) are some of those things.
Here you can see Aurora is very offended by my presence ๐ ๐

Tillie always has issues keeping the food on the plate ๐ we tend to feed her outside the enclosure for this reason as no one wants to find buried rotting meat while spot cleaning ๐คฎ
Beef mince, green beans and whole meal bread was on the cards with a nice sprinkling of omega 3 oil, D3 supplement and some calcium.
Tillie is our most regular eater, being fed every 2 - 3 days, shes a bottomless pit and LOVES her food ๐๐ฆ

Couple of things in the video to rectify
1. I sounds like I say "its bad" that you can order them online, I actually meant to say it sounds bad, the whole industry / process is perfectly safe for the animal and courier and allows people who live in the top end of nowhere (i.e Me)to have the oppurtunity to get these animals.
2. I said Costa Rican stripe leg its actualy a Costa Rican zebra leg and when I say species is Aphonopelma I should have said "Genus" dont want to be giving out any false info !
