🎉Look who is back on social media!🎉
I know it’s been a long time since I’ve updated my pages, if you’ve stuck around and are seeing this now - thank you!
It seems only fair to update you all with why I’ve been absent. Most of you know that I have two small (ish!) children. The youngest started school last month, so I’ve taken as much time with them both over the summer as possible. The reason being is I have also gone back to school this September, back into my previous career of teaching.
In terms of what that means for THIS business - I have decided to STILL BE HERE. The number of orders I take on will be very much reduced to please contact me with as much notice as possible, as I won’t be able to accommodate all dates.
I can’t wait to get back to creating designs and sharing them with you!

We all know I love a photo of cakes in action 🤣
Designing this cake based around the life and personality of the recipient was such a joy. To see a happy customer and have the cake described as LEGENDARY was such a reward.

Amen to this! Only this week was I chatting to a friend who had ordered a cake from someone else (I’ll forgive this transgression 🤣) who thought their cake looked great but the taste just didn’t match up.
The quality of your cake, and deep flavours is just as important to me as creating a beautiful visual piece of work.
If you book a cake with me you can rest assured it will taste divine.

How about a bit of mid week happiness? This photo never fails to make me smile.
I started baking as a hobby almost 20 years ago. Turning a passion into a business is the best move I’ve ever made. It allows me to work around my children - which is who I do it all for. Seeing their faces like this once a year when they get their birthday cakes is the best reward !

The humble cupcake - a perfect balance between cake, filling and frosting. They are so versatile too - great in their own right and also brilliant for adding extra cake portions alongside a cake.
I particularly like presenting cupcakes on their own matching board.

One of the first questions I am often asked, is “What size cake do I need?”. The answer to this isn’t the same for everyone and depends on the answer to these questions:
1. How many people would you like the cake to serve?
2. Is the cake being served as a full dessert or as a small finger slice?
3. Would you like leftovers to freeze?
Once we have worked out these answers, then I can advise on the best size to suit your needs.

Wedding season is upon us. Dried flowers are a perfect choice for a summer wedding, they really give me the feel of hot August days, and evenings spent outside.

Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake!
What do you make for a husband who loves dessert but “isn’t a fan of cake”? Their favourite pudding in cake form, of course. Overlooking how it’s possible for someone to not like cake, I’ve got to say this was a massive hit.
What is your favourite dessert? I’ll choose one to make into a cake alter ego next week.
