The Beef & Ale Pie.
My advise whenever your cooking beef slowly is to use the slow cooker.
We used 800g of beef chunks, which gave us 5 of these pies, a bottle of dark ale and bisto best gravy granules.
Fast forward 8 hours, allow to cool.
Line your pie dish with puff or shortcrust pastry, whichever your preference.
Fill your case and top with the pastry.
Egg wash, oven bake 200oc 30mins.
Let the beef melt in your mouth....
Winterise Your Tuna.
Firstly, I can't believe I got the non pull ring tuna. it's a risky job opening tuna with a can opener.
Bake your jacket potato as you would normally, I will just add that cut a cross on the top. This will make it easier to pop your jacket at service.
Drain your tuna, keeping it in the tin.
Baking tray with baking paper.
Tip upside down, give it a wiggle, and it should pop out.
Drizzle some oil, any oil you have.
200oc 20mins.
Meanwhile, those peelings you are now keeping, see previous video, you can freeze them for later, by the way.
Bake them with a drizzle of the same oil. They only need 15 or so mins and make a great winter salad with lettuce leaves.
Dish it up and enjoy...
