A 24-hour Murder Mystery Marathon to raise awareness of mental health issues and to fund Mental Health First Aid training courses and su***de prevention helplines (C.A.L.M.)

The Sanguine Writing House creates and hosts online Murder Mystery games and the value and ethos of the company is to support mental health. We currently partner with 2 organisations to do this - Route 80/37 who deliver Mental Health First Aid training, and CALM who fund a dedicated team to man a su***de help line. Our games are designed to promote a fun atmosphere where groups of friends and colleagues can join together to solve mysteries.

To further support these good causes we have organised a "Murder Mystery Marathon" starting at 12 noon on 28th January for 24 hours. In each 2-hour period, there will be 3 concurrent games. One will have a well-known celebrity in attendance, maybe an actor or a football player etc. and places at these tables will be auctioned. The second will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis at a cost of £50 per player. The third will be sponsored tables where we are looking for corporate companies to bid for the entire table (bidding starts at £1000) to offer places to people in need of social interaction, or for use as a staff event. All sponsored tables will include a funded "Mental Health First Aid" training course for one person. The first celebrity game will have Jackie Weaver as our primary guest-player and the other places in this game will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and all proceeds will be split between our mental health partners.

There will then be a further 11 x 2-hour slots on the above basis running back to back to complete the 24 hour session.

This project aims to raise money to fund the training of Mental Health First Aiders through our training partner Route 80/37 for SME's (Small to Medium Enterprises) and to fund lifesaving phone-calls for our partner C.A.L.M.
