Expectation vs. Reality: When I film Scotland with my drone 🚁
Expectation - Cinematic orchestras, epic bagpipes, soaring strings as I glide over Scotland’s majestic landscapes. 🎶🏞️
Reality - Beeeeep beep beep BEEEEP, aggressive wind noises & me whispering to myself, "Please don’t crash, please don’t crash…” 🥲😂
Who knew ‘epic drone sounds’ were mostly just the panic of keeping it in the air? 😂

Deciphering the Scottish Accent: A User’s Guide 🌧️
Ever had a conversation with a Scotsman and found yourself just nodding along hoping they didn’t ask a question? 😅 Aye, the Scottish accent can be a full-body workout just to understand. Some people say it sounds like English, but we Scots know it’s practically another language entirely!
Take a phrase like, “It’s a wee bit dreich oot.” Translation? “The weather’s bad.” Simple enough, right? But try keeping up with “Gonnae no dae that!” or “Haw, yer aff yer heid!” suddenly you’re deep in uncharted linguistic territory. And if someone calls you a “numpty” or tells you “Yer bum’s oot the windae,”... well, just smile and assume you’re being lovingly insulted.
The best part? Even we Scots sometimes struggle with each other! A Glaswegian chatting with someone from the Highlands might as well be two languages colliding head-on in a pub somewhere in the middle of Scotland. 😂 But we’ve all learned to laugh through it and blether on, regardless!
So, if you’re brave enough to dive into a conversation with us, here’s my advice: keep a smile on, don’t panic if you hear “ken” every other word, and remember that “aye” might mean “yes,” “maybe,” or “not a chance” depending on how we say it. Good luck! 🥃

👻 So I was recently filming at St Conan's Kirk and WOW, it has to be one of the most beautiful churches you will come across in the world never mind Scotland 🏰✨
There's a rich history of this stunning site. Built in the early 1900s, it’s a beautiful blend of architectural styles, and seeing it from above truly gave it a new perspective on its grandeur.
Do you like this video? Where do you think I should go next? 🤔💙

To reach this abandoned woodland area it is located in Mount Vernon Glasgow via Old Manse Road, follow these steps, I would visit during the daylight hours and to not travel alone.
1. Start at Old Manse Road - located in Mount Vernon near a parish church and a JET petrol station.
2. Follow Old Manse Road - Continue walking down Old Manse Road until you come across a gate, walk through and you'll see the beginning of the woodland
3. Enter the Woodland Area - Follow one of the dirt paths that lead into the woods. The area can be dense with trees and overgrown foliage, but the paths should guide you deeper.
4. Explore the Woodland - Be mindful of uneven terrain and overgrown areas.
Where would you like me to film around Scotland next? 🙂

I Still can't get over yesterday, Foggy mornings in Glasgow don’t come often, but when they do… WOW. 🌫️✨
I was incredibly lucky to catch the city centre’s bridges and buildings shrouded in mist over the River Clyde.
The eerie calm, muted colors, and disappearing skyline made for some of the most surreal shots I’ve ever taken.
Moments like these remind me why I love capturing Scotland. 📸
