Now introducing part of your evenings entertainment. Three performers as part of the Dr Bonk Segment:

Dean Beirne:
Smashing onto the scene in 2021, Dean T. Beirne’s likable misfit style of comedy has seen him making waves all over the UK, combining stories of foster care, growing up in Dubai and being a general nerd.
Throughout his career, he reached the final of the 2023 BBC New Comedy Awards, and is the co-host of the comedy horror podcast Blood, Sweat and Fears with fellow comics Alan Jay and Kyle Samuel.

Puke:
Everyone’s favourite gender-fluid bodily fluid, Puke is a Glasgow-based drag abomination. Wielding their art as a weapon of revenge, their performances often summon catharsis from a wellspring of religious trauma, but their tongue-in-cheek sense of humour is never far from the surface.
Siphoning inspiration from a storied linage of q***r outsider artists, Puke mashes together influences from far outside the established order of drag.
With an unmatched sense of comic absurdity and a taste for the more revolting side of life, you never quite know what bile this gruesome creature will conjure on stage. You might not like - or indeed understand - what you’re looking at, but you’ll be left gagging.

Magenta Lust:
Magenta Lust is an internationally recognised, multi award winning neo-burlesque performer from Fife, Scotland.
Very much the resident weirdo in many shows, Magenta has captivated audiences throughout the UK, Europe & now Australia for 16years with her passion for the bizarre and the unconventional.
Described as an ethereal fae-like creature as well as downright bonkers, Magenta Lust is both tantalising and grotesque

In collboration with Edinburgh Horror Festival - Join us for a full day of live performances, panels, and entertainment in our 600 seater auditorium with some of the best acts in the business of Spooky Entertainment, and fire questions at some of our horror movie star guests.

Kicking off at 11.30am with a Q&A followed by “The Haunted Hour” at 12 noon (midnight is so passe!) featuring a gothic tale of terror by Edgar Allan Poe in “Spirits of the Dead” before Des O'Gorman Host takes to the stage with his full-length Ghostbusters tribute show “Still Ready to Believe You” celebrating the 40th anniversary of crossing the streams.

Put your best foot forward, or someone else’s -we won’t ask where you got it, for the Cosplay Contest sponsored by Space-O-Matic at 1:15pm after which the 2nd Q&A on stage at 1:45pm.

More monstrously entertaining live shows at 2:15pm in “The Witching Hour”. Sell out Edinburgh Horror Festival improv comedian Stand Up Horror - with Alex Staniforth weaves a tale of hilarity and terror, based on con-goers suggestions, in “Stand Up Horror”. He’ll be followed by Paranormal Illusionist Ash Pryce - Paranormal Illusionist & Spooky Entertainer who presents a new, short occult inspired magic show in “Burn the Witch” to whet your appetite for his main evening show.
On stage at 3:30pm another Q&A after which the “Undead Hour” invites The Gore Girlz and stage host Psyclone Jack along to delight the darkest corners of your mind, finishing with the hit musical parody “The Elvis Dead”.

Phew. Then we rest… for an hour before the Evening Events kick off in full! (evening ticket required for the over 18's evening show)

Seating will be on a first come basis but you can reserve floor seating with our add-on packages.

*The Witching Hour/Haunted Hour are recommended 13+ due to mature language and themes. If you bring younger children you do so with the understanding that the shows may not be appropriate*

We’ve been doing comic cons since 2015 and our first ever event was a Horror Con in our home city of Sheffield. Although our range has expanded to include non scare stuff, it still forms the core of our print range and showcases Martyn’s love of classic 80s and 90s horror. Film screening - Mercy Falls followed by Q&A with Ryan Hendrick.

Ryan is a multi-award winning and BAFTA Nominated film director and actor. Credits include Choices, Minds of Glass, Besieged, Falling & Perfect Strangers. He is also a skilled editor and Video Journalist.
In 2005 Ryan turned to talents to in front of the camera, training for two years in Acting & Performance primarily at Stow College, then furthering that training with an Acting for Camera course taught by industry professionals such as Kahleen Crawford and Robert Carlyle.
In 2010 Ryan wrote, directed and produced his first short film Choices that earned him his 1st BAFTA Scotland nomination. Ryan's festive short film Perfect Strangers screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2015 and 20 other festivals around the world. It went on to receive yet another BAFTA Scotland Nomination in 2016.

In 2017 Ryan partnered with renowned cinematographer John Rhodes (16 Years of Alcohol / Only Fools and Horses) on the short film Sundown, an emotional drama starring Caitlin Blackwood (Dr Who) and Frazer Hines (Emmerdale, Outlander) set on the remote island of Iona. Sundown premiered at the Oscar qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in LA and went on to be selected for over 20 film festivals picking up awards for Direction, Drama, Music Score and Best of the Fest. Ryan's feature film debut Lost At Christmas starring Sylvester McCoy, Clare Grogan and Sanjeev Kohli. opened in the top 10 streaming UK releases of Christmas 2020 and aired the following year on BBC One on Christmas Day, 2021.

In 2022 he directed his 2nd feature film Mercy Falls, a survival horror starring Outlander star Lauren Lyle. It is available on Tubi, Prime Video and various other platforms worldwide.

Ryan is currently developing his 3rd feature film.
