Usually when i am packing up after 3rd dance recently dancefloors are usual dead and not warmed up yet. Not tonight !

WEDDING HIGHLIGHTS - Altskeith Country House on Loch Ard

This Wedding meant a lot to me as my Great Gran used to live at Altskeith and the very room I filmed some Groom Prep Clips was the cottage my Great Gran used to live is and was then know locally as Granny McAlpine's Cottage. So it was a very emotional day being there, it was first time I have seen inside.

CONTENT CREATOR or VIDEOGRAPHER?

Do we offer Content Creator Packages?

You have One Day to capture the most precious memories of you, your partner all your family and friends together.

To me these moments once filmed and carefully edited to a beautiful film are priceless. Maybe because i have witnessed first hand the importance of such a film, but there is a growing online trend pushing Content Creators to create mini reels and provide 100s of unedited clips using a phone.

It may suit those that want a quick instant fix. I have recently had a cancellation of one of our top Cinematic Packages as the couple said their friend has offered to do Content Creation and film mini reels with their phone. Really? Sadly I feel this is going to become common and I am still baffled by it. I know for a fact this couple will regret this decision as I know the difference in the end result. Both are completely different. By their choice they have put more value to a few minutes tiktok reels in place of rewatching their full Day. Ceremony, their Vows, Speeches and full dancing.

In 20 years time what would you rather have 1) Folder of 100s of unedited video clips 2) 90min Professional film that you can relive the full day? (If you want 1- Book at Content Creator , if you want 2- Book a Videographer)

I am seeing more Video and Photographer Companies now jumping on the band wagon and offer Content Creation as part of their packages.

Part of me thinks should I offer it too? Had countless people tell me , I need to start doing it. Let me think for a second. No, no way. I do this job as I love it and take great pride in what i do, I have spent many many years learning and studying my field. To chase £££ instead and start filming with a phone? No thank you.

I have been professional Film Maker, Photographer and Sound Engineer for over 25 years. I take great pride in my work and see the value of creating full length beautiful Wedding Films. I use pro cameras, pro lenses, microphones and have top end studio editing suites.

Do I give this up and just buy a phone? Throw away any professional experience ? Is this the future? Would make my life so much easier to turn up and film a Wedding with one phone and at end of day just upload all edited clips and get a phone app to make a quick few reels, but I understand and know the value in what I do. Filming clips on a phone can no way come close to an edited 3 camera pro shot film with professional cameras.

Another thing some couples might not realise is Content Creators film for Tiktok on a Portrait style, so cant be watched full screen on your TV etc. We film horizontally for fullscreen TV playback not Tiktok.

I can understand the value in the service if you want some behind scenes stuff but I am talking about couples that are booking Content Creators instead of Professional Video Companies.

Do modern couples not value full length films anymore ? Reliving their vows, seeing and hearing their Parents give a speech telling them how much they love them and how proud they are of them? Such precious priceless moments. Would people just want a quick fix and some tiktok likes by total strangers instead?

I have worked alongside some great people that offer Content Creation and happy to recommend them to work alongside me on the day, then you get the best of both Worlds.

So in summary, I will stick to what i value and believe in and only offer Professionally Filmed Wedding Films as part of my services. I won't be offering add ons that I film with my phone. If that's what a couple is looking for I am not the right company for them and they are not the right couple for me. Precious moments such as a once in a lifetime Wedding deserve to be captured professionally.

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE

One of my favourite parts of filming a Wedding is the Father Daughter Dance, one of the most emotional moments and a such precious thing to capture.

When I read comments online saying "Should I get a Videographer?" or get a Content Creator (Someone that films with a phone) instead. Well fine maybe some people don't cherish things same I do. Moments like this to me are priceless. They cannot be relived, value these moments. Invest to have these moments Filmed and Captured professionally. In 20 years time they will be worth x100 times more than what you paid.

Having filmed over 600 Weddings this was probably to most Romantic and Heartfelt vows I have ever heard a couple make to each other. Really was an emotional day. You can tell the couple where 100% made for each other.

IMPORTANT- Booking / Deposits

Booking are not secured/ confirmed until we received your deposit payment.

We have a few couples contact us to book and have yet to pay deposits. We are getting enquiries for duplicate dates, so don't risk losing your booking date by delaying paying your deposit as we cannot hold dates. If you have asked to book and we have sent you booking details, your date is not secured until your deposit has been paid. If you need more time to pay deposit due to wages etc just inform us.

Polite Request>

It has become so common lately for enquiries to just stop responding or kindly replying back when you ask if they receive our replies ok.

We are getting enquiries asking if their date is available then nothing, no reply back and don't answer when we send a polite message to ask if they got our reply ok. Even an acknowledgement would be nice.

We have had 5 messages in last few days, 2 asking to book and 3 asking if their date available. I replied within a few minutes and no replies back.

If you message us with a question or enquiry for your date could you please reply back just to even acknowledge you received our reply. We have had issues with messenger in past, so just a little ty or reply would be appreciated to know our messages are being received.
