💛 We had some much fun last night in Edinburgh at the 𝐏𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀.

🍀 Thank you so much to everyone who attended our 🙏 We promise to come more often to Edinburgh and we really enjoyed singing at the St John's Episcopal Church Edinburgh, what a fantastic venue and amazing staff.

𝐏𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀 💛 INTRODUCING OUR PIANIST

We are delighted that our 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐑𝐀𝐙𝐕𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔 will play the piano for our 𝑷𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒊 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒂 💛 in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Razvan graduated with a Bachelor Degree from the Orchestral Conducting Department at the National University of Music Bucharest and participated in a Conducting Master Class in Vienna in 2009 where he had the chance to conduct Sinfonia Baden. Razvan also studied Jazz under Richard Michael at the University of St Andrews and has recently graduated from the Berklee (Boston US) Online Professional Composing and Orchestrating for Film and TV Course.

💛 As a conductor, Razvan has approached both operatic and symphonic repertoire, having collaborations in Romania with National Operetta Theatre, Oleg Danovski National Opera Theatre, Pitesti Philharmonic, Oltenia Philharmonic or Campina Philharmonic Society. Razvan also conducted UCD Symphony Orchestra Dublin, Glasgow Sinfonia, Glasgow Chamber Orchestra and Bathgate Concert Orchestra.

INTRODUCING OUR OPERA SINGERS 💛 𝐏𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀

𝑬𝑳𝑰𝒁𝑨𝑩𝑬𝑻𝑯 𝑾𝑬𝑳𝑳𝑺 is an American Soprano currently living in West Lothian, Scotland. She graduated from Westminster Choir College with a BA in Music, and from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with an MMus in Vocal Performance.

💛Elizabeth has performed with North Wales Opera Studio, Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Philadelphia Orchestra and Vienna State Chamber Orchestra.

Previous roles include Mercedes (Carmen), Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Dido/ Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas) and Clorinda (La Cenerentola). Elizabeth has also performed scenes from Le Nozze di Figaro (Countess), The Consul (Madga Sorel), Die Lustige Weiber von Windsor (Frau Fluth) or Cosi fan tutte (Despina and Fiordiligi).

Elizabeth has also collaborated with Clyde Opera Group in the past, working as Assistant Director in 2023 for The Barber of Seville and assistant with subtitles for Rita. She recently sang the role of Donna Elvira in Clyde Opera’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.

💛Since the Covid-19 pandemic, Elizabeth has also been working for NHS Scotland and is currently training to become a pharmacy technician.

INTRODUCING OUR OPERA SINGERS 💛 𝐏𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀

Originally from Romania, tenor 𝐕𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐑-𝐌𝐈𝐇𝐀𝐈 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐀 is a recent graduate of the MA course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he studied with Scott Johnson.

💛His early life took him down a completely different path that involved computer programming, a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in International Business and Economics and working for a multinational company in his hometown of Bucharest.
After deciding to pursue music, Vladimir moved to Dublin where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Music Performance degree from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, studying with tenor Owen Gilhooly and repetiteur Seho Lee.

He has sung a wide range of comprimario roles which allowed him to gain invaluable stage experience while he was working on solidifying his vocal technique and developing his voice.

💛Vladimir has performed with Wexford Festival Opera (Gherardo Gianni Schicchi, Bardolfo Falstaff, Tebaldo cover and chorus I Capuletti e i Montecchi, Dion Ein Wintermärchen), Irish National Opera (Aida, Carmen, William Tell), Northern Ireland Opera (Die Fledermaus, Edoardo La Cambiale di Matrimonio, Rigoletto), Lyric Opera Dublin (Goro Madama Butterfly, 1st prisoner Fidelio, Parpignol La Bohème, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Carmen), Clyde Opera Group (Gastone La traviata) and North Wales Opera (Le Remendado Carmen), among others.
He first joined The Grange Festival in the summer of 2022 as part of their chorus while also covering Malcolm in Macbeth and singing 3rd Yeoman in The Yeomen of the guard. He returned to The Grange Festival in 2023 for Dido and Aeneas/Orfeo ed Euridice and The queen of spades (Chekalinsky cover) and in 2024 to sing Spoletta and cover Cavaradossi in Tosca.

💛Vladimir was part of the inaugural Wexford Factory Young Artist Programme where he sang for international coaches and artists such as Ermonela Jaho and Ernesto Palacio and this autumn he will create the role of Chief O'Neill (Cop 1) in Alberto Caruso and Colm Tóibín's opera Lady Gregory in America for Wexford Festival Opera.

INTRODUCING OUR OPERA SINGERS 💛 𝐏𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀

𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒏𝒈 is a soprano currently studying at Alexander Gibson Opera School, RCS under the tutelage of Linda Ormiston. Before that she graduated from Royal Northern College of Music and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

🎶Stephanie is a grateful recipient of RCS Trust scholarship. During her studies in Hong Kong, Stephanie was awarded the Michael Rippon Memorial Scholarship and HKSAR Reaching Out Award. Stephanie’s upcoming opera productions with RCS include Pamina Die Zauberflöte and Vespina L'infedelta delusa.

🍀Stephanie performed in numerous opera scenes in Hong Kong and the UK. Recent RCS projects include: Governess Turn of the Screw and Blanche Dialogues des Carmelites, Gretel Hänsel und Gretel, Mélisande Pelléas et Mélisande, Fox The Cunning little V***n. Other examples include Le Converse Suor Angelica, Erste and Zweite Dame Die Zauberflöte, Giannetta L’elisir d’amore, Susanna Le nozze di Figaro, Despina Così fan Tutte or Ilia Idomeneo. Apart from being a soloist, Stephanie was also a chorus member in opera productions like Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s Aïda, Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann and Puccini’s Turandot.

Stephanie has participated in vocal masterclass with renowned vocal masters like Greg Massingham, Susan Bullock, Karen Cargill and Michael Chance. In 2019 she was awarded Espoir prize in Age U Arts Songs category in Osaka International Music Competition. Recently she is the French song winner in 2022 David Clover Festival of Singing and 2023 Leeds Lieder Young Artist.

We are delighted to introduce new singers to our audience in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Come along to our event and

New Zealand/British young artist 𝑨𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒔 is currently studying his MMus Opera at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Iain Paton.
💛Aidan performed the title role in Idomeneo (Mozart) and has performed scenes from: A Midsummer Night's Dream (Britten), Ariadne auf Naxos (Strauss), Dialogues des Carmélites (Poulenc), Pelléas and Mélisande (Debussy) and Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck). In the oratorio/symphonic world, he has performed as the Evangelist/Tenor Soloist in the Johannes-Passion (J.S. Bach), Requiem (Duruflé), Missa in Tempori Belli (Haydn), Seven Last Words of Christ (Haydn), Messiah (Handel), and The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace (Jenkins). On the recital stage he has performed Les Nuits d’été (Berlioz), An die ferne geliebte (Beethoven), Wesendonck-Lieder (Wagner), Lieder eines fahrenden gesellen (Mahler) and On Wenlock Edge (Vaughan Williams).
💛In the 2024/25 season Aidan will perform the roles of Tamino in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and Filippo in L’infedelta delusa (Haydn)

🔥Remembering our fantastic summer production of Don Giovanni 🍀we still can not believe that only a few days ago (on the 18th of July) our singers arrived to Scotland: since then they sung a recital at the Bothwell Parish Church and in Stonehouse at the St Ninian's Church and after this they rehearsed and performed in the two fully staged shows of 🔥 Don Giovanni.
