Christmas may have just ended, but I’m out of the office again shortly; this time to celebrate a very special occasion. My husband is one of those, perhaps unlucky people, who have a birthday in January, and this year it’s a big one… his 40th! 🎉 So, we’re heading to Gran Canaria to soak up some winter sunshine and mark the milestone with family.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s raise a toast…🎤✨

One of my favourite moments at every wedding is listening to the speeches! As a wedding planner, I’ve heard my fair share, but there’s something about the best man’s (or men’s!) speech that always steals the show, closely followed by the Father of the Brides, which never fails to bring a tear to my eye.

Whether it’s cheeky anecdotes, heartfelt tributes, or that classic mix of roasting and toasting, best men never fail to bring the entertainment. It’s a rollercoaster of laughter and sometimes a little tear (often from the groom!). 🥂

The photos I’ve shared here are extra special to me — it’s from my own wedding back in 2017. Thinking about the beautiful speeches from that day brings back so many cherished memories. Those heartfelt and hilarious moments are proof of how speeches create lasting connections and unforgettable experiences. 💖
