The ‘Joy of Christmas’ is coming to Lee on the Solent, Gosport over three days of the 8th, 9th & 10th December.

Being delivered jointly by Montserrat Events and St Faith's, Lee-on-the-Solent, the event will have the Christmas magic and festive fun with a Food & Craft Fayre, Music & Carols, Nativity, Father Christmas, Lights and a Christmas Tree Festival being held at St Faiths, Victoria Square, Lee on the Solent.

Bookings are already being taken for the Craft, Produce stalls so owners to come and create an artisan market with our food vendors over the 3 days.

Stall pitches are available so get booked to attend to avoid being disappointed…There is a mixture of both inside and outside pitches, which will create our festive market.

As of Monday 18th we will be onsite at the Solent Airport, Daedalus geting ready for the event that starts on Friday, here we will be having a ticket office where you can come and purchase the Day Wristbands for each day & Day Car Parking Tickets for the Lee Victory Festival.

The ticket office will be located at Gate 5 on Daedalus Drive, there will be event flags marking the position and there will parking for cars to get of the main road.

We will be open from 2pm till 7.30pm on Monday and then 12midday till 7.30pm till every day up to when we open at 4pm on Friday.

This weekend is Summer in Lee time, not only do we have an amazing location backdrop for the event, which provides us a great venue, but there’s also going to great music, great children’s entertainment, plus great food available as we see new food caterers with us who are now part of the Montserrat Events delivery.

For you, being freshly cooked in our Flower Building Food Quarter will be Steak, Burgers, Breakfast, Greek, Jacket Potatoes, Indian plant based Street Food; Vegetarian Curry, a Licensed Bar, Tea & Coffee, and Thai Noodles! For the sweet tooth ones there’s Donuts, Slush and Ice Cream 😊

So come and enjoy this amazing free event for all to enjoy.

Some say there’s Pirates coming, so an eye patch won’t go a missing! 🏴‍☠️ Don’t forget there’s Captain Greybeard’s treasure to be found where’s the £200 cash to be found with two lucky treasure hunters wining £100 on Saturday & Sunday🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️💶 Visit The Book Shop & Boutique By The Sea to get the clue sheets for the treasure hunt. 👍

Please remember the whole purpose of this event is to raise money for two worthy charities Children with Cancer UK & Autism Hampshire, so please do help us over the weekend raise as much money as possible with cash & cards being accepted! 👍😊

We’re pleased to announce that we have these amazing artists supporting and performing at the Party in the Park over the 29th and 30th July in Walpole Park as part of Summer in Gosport ‘Arts in the Park’.

Suite are a fantastic 3-piece band creating the full sound and vibe of a much bigger band with high quality tracks, strong vocals,
thick harmonies and a highly accomplished
level of instrumental skills.

Covering many genres and many decades.
Suite are the ultimate show band, adding their own flavours and arrangements to songs whilst also striving to create a sound extremely close to the original versions.

You can see Suite have a lot of fun with a lot of stage presence and a dynamic that’s founded on a close friendship, this is infectious to audiences. Suite are tight, fast paced and exciting, keeping everyone on the dance floor partying and singing along!

California Dreamin’ are a three part vocal harmony group with Grace Shelley, Karen Barnett and Michael Moon who will be singing great Summer tunes from the Swinging 60s, including The Mamas and the Papas,
The Turtles, The Kinks and The Monkees, they are definitely going to put out some toe tapping summer vibes for our Summer in Gosport event.

Over the next couple of days we’ll be announcing the lineup on who’s performing over the event weekend where music will be playing for you at Party in the Park over the 29th and 30th July in Walpole Park as part of Summer in Gosport ‘Arts in the Park’.

Let us introduce…

SOUTHSIDE TRIO from Hampshire are 3 friends and musicians musicians who met as music lecturers at Southdowns College. Two acoustic guitars, a keyboard and 3-part harmonies come together to create a relaxed, timeless and contemporary acoustic set covering artists such as Eva Cassidy, Kate Bush and Harry Styles.

Chloe Rice is from Southampton and has performed all over the world and has just arrived back from being a vocalist on Virgin Voyages. She loves to perform authentic quirky covers of classic rock, pop and even some Disney tunes.

Ken Wood and the Mixers are a riotous, eight-piece troupe of gutbucket soul heroes, specialising in their own unique blend of bold, brassy soul, stomping R&B and ludicrous on-stage antics.

Spearheaded by that whirling R&B dervish Mr Kenneth B Woode, our irresistible, barnstorming and faintly ramshackle sound is laced with tricks, raps, routines and things getting broken.And the occasional bum note!

It's not pretty, but it sho' is one hell of a party - so break out a fresh pack of industrial-strength odour-eaters and come on in!

Summer in Gosport for 2023 will see a series of amazing events happening throughout the borough, which are part of the Gosport Borough Council's 'Arts in the Park' event programme that's supported by Hampshire Cultural Trust.

Over the 29th and 30th July there's the Party in the Park in Walpole Park, which is FREE community event for all to come and enjoy. Also we see another event happening on Walpole South to celebrate the 100 years of model yacht sailing at Gosport with their Centenary Regatta starting on the 24th September running for a week meaning there's lots to come and see over that weekend of the 29th. .
