As usual the Stout Companion stock will be tucked away at the back of the Darkblade stall but this year at Empire the stall will be in it's new home in Trade Court, opposite GOD. We won't be alone, one or two other traders will be with us.

So it might have been a little while since we last posted. What can I say it's been a busy year, thank you for all your custom in the field and on the much neglected(by us) website. I've just updated the stock and when I reorder I'm fairly sure the prices are going to have to go up so if there's anything you fancy I'd get it now.

Don't forget that today is the last day for late booking for the first event. There's well over 1800 players booked already - but there is still time to join us at the first Empire event back after two years!

In particular if you have open tickets on your account, please do make sure you use one to book the event if you are planning to come. We won't make up a pack for you unless you use your open ticket to tell us you're coming to the event.

And finally if you've been fully vaccinated and are able to make the awful NHS app give you a COVID pass that is valid for more than two days, please download it and email it to [email protected] - the more players who sort out their COVID pass before the event the simpler it will be for everyone.

It rained again today so no new pictures. Instead here's a hat we've been trying on today to get impressions for you. So with no further ado I give you Pye, a felt hat.

Impressions: I'm a sucker for a hat, any hat, so I liked this straight off. The styling is unusual with the top sort of overflowing the sides but I think that's part of the appeal. It fitted my head at 22 1/2" perfectly but there's no real give in it so I wouldn't suggest it to anyone with a larger head. Being pure wool it was definitely warm to wear but might be itchy if you've got sensitive skin. And going by past experience of felted wool stuff it's probably not colourfast. Still an ace hat though.
