Another show for keeping chill in the hot weather, starting with Van Morrison (Official)'s Moondance and finishing with Tequila from Johnny 'The Gash' Gray.

As always, the show has the charts from this week in 2012, 2002, '92, '82', '72 and '62. Untangling the complex release history of This Charming Man from The Smiths and the emotional impact of Irene Cara's Fame in the dark days of Thatcherite Britain.

Featured new and recent releases:
6th Crowd - Mamenika
Lukas Setto - My Destiny (Radio Edit)

An extra summery show for the heatwave, from opening with Roger Sanchez's Lost all the way to closing out with Guitar Tango from The Shadows.

As always, the show has the charts from this week in 2012, 2002, '92, '82', '72 and '62. Classic chart moments revisited include Bowling For Soup's rock classic Girl All The Bad Guys Want and one of my all time vintage favourites, Helen Shapiro (EMI)'s Little Miss Lonely.

Conan Gray - Summer Child

Kicked off this show on Brooklands Radio with Rodney Cromwell, followed by the Coronavirus Update.

Other new music featured this week was from Joan As Police Woman and Robin Howarth.

As usual, a wide ranging playlist, this week covering Aaron Tippin's Country Boy's Tool Box, Liberty X's Just A Little, and Ph.D.'s I Won't Let You Down.

A great HM Surf instrumental to play out with - Acrylic Paint.

New releases on the show this week included Pattern Formation from Nyalles, and We Don't Talk About Bruno, the first Disney movie song to hit number one in the UK.

The big tunes starting the show were classics Kiss The Rain from Billie Myers, Money from Pink Floyd, and With or Without you from .

The look back at this week's charts in past decades had an interesting gender split with female voices ( Pixie Lott , Kym Sims and most of allSTARS*) dominating the recent decades. In the second hour 1982, 1972, and 1962 were all represented by males (Meat Loaf who we sadly lost this week, Cat Stevens, and finally the amazing version of Moon River by Danny Williams).

The final track of the show was a rather psychedelic, and evocative yet bouncy instrumental.

Last Sunday's Show.

Post-Christmas, local events started to come through again in this show.

The look back at the chart this week in past decades included Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Addams Groove from MC Hammer, Jon & Vangelis, Sleepy Shores from the Johnny Pearson Orchestra, and a lesser-known release from Del Shannon

The biggest challenge this week was finding a clean, radio safe copy of U Remind Me for the look back at this week in past decades in the charts. Usher's track is 2 decades old now.

The second hour is a little peppier than the first, with We Don't Belong To You by PIERROT as the featured new release. Great to be playing something associated with the comic book scene. Rebecca Black's Worth It For The Feeling was already making a return to the show, after being the featured new release very recently.

I was glad to be playing Elaine Paige 's original version of Memory as our look back at this week in 1981. I saw it not long ago in a youtube video explaining why the 2019 film version went so wrong.

Overall, a more sombre tone to this show (following large increases in coronavirus fatalities from the loosening of restrictions in England), despite a bright start with Sunshine On A Rainy Day from Zoë Po***ck.

There are some great Lo-Fi tracks though, including a early demo from Billy Joel, a vintage-style new release from Elli de Mon - onewomanband, and cutting edge lo-fi from Purrple Cat.

The look back at the charts this week in past decades includes the definitive encapsulation of the dystopian Thatcher-era, Ghost Town (full length version) from The Specials From The Specials - Neville Staple, a big highlight for me. Also in the look back at past charts; Roy Orbison, Faith Hill's enduring hit 'There You'll Be', Beyoncé, and Tami Lynn's super-catchy 'I'm Gonna Run Away From You' on the prolific, but short-lived, Mojo label.

COLOR ME BADD provided the upbeat note in the look back through the charts, elsewhere Sly & The Family Stone, Smiley Lewis, and Official: Sheena Easton keep thing lively.

Finishing with the theatrical, I play out with Shostakovich's 'Incidental Music to Hamlet - Actors Pantomime' curtesy of Boston Pops.

A lively, summery, but still chill Sunday show. Starting with the regular longer tunes and looking back at the week's charts in past decades, new releases, and more.

Vintage music was represented by Jet Harris, with The Man With The Golden Arm, and the great Fred Astaire. Featured new releases were Clouds by The Late Aprils and Gabe Dixon Don't Look Down.

Great to be revisiting Del Shannon - Band's Runaway, Alright from Supergrass and If You've Got The Heart by Southern Tenant Folk Union

Loved seeing this memory pop up in my feed, great part in a great play.

I recreated my favourite line to go with the pic. Sgt Colon's quick thinking stops the keen new recruit from attempting to arrest the ruler of the city for traffic violations. More fun when shouting to the back of the theatre though.

Yesterday's show, on demand. Starting off with longer tunes for your Sunday afternoon, looking back at the charts this week in past decades, and great music all the way.
This week's picks from the new releases were Rebecca Black's 'Worth It For The Feeling' and Holly Humberstone's 'The Walls Are Way Too Thin'.
Some special tracks were Rosabella Gregory covering Billy Joel's 'The Downeaster Alexa', 'See You Later, Alligator' from Bill Haley, 'Avenging Angels' from Space, and the show closed with 'Night Owl' from Cleo Laine and 'South of the Border' by The Shadows
