“We are so happy to have found Gate Street for our wedding venue! The beautiful barn, the immaculately kept gardens and proximity to nature in the woodland are all big selling points but the warm, kind and helpful team are the real gems of the venue. We felt in safe hands from day one - the team’s knowledge of the venue and the process to get a wedding successfully off the ground meant we felt able to enjoy the planning process. Other venues we visited were quite prescriptive about how the day should look, but the team at GSB were happy to collaborate with us and listen to what we were hoping to achieve, offering useful insights along the way, so we could have the day we wanted. Communication was fantastic throughout and the guidance was also hugely appreciated.
We found the barn had the perfect layout to allow us to keep our guests together and prevent anyone from drifting off, but allowed for quiet spaces to chat, if guests didn’t want to join in the dancing, or needed to get away for a moment. Logistically, the venue is very well thought out. The availability of the woodland space made for a beautiful ceremony location, which many of our family and friends have commented on as a memorable and personal option, that felt very right for us.
On the day, we felt so supported and celebrated by Annabel, Leanne, Alexa and Adam, who were there to make sure the day ran smoothly. This included seamlessly managing timings behind the scenes and coordinating our suppliers on the day - nothing ever felt like too much. We can’t say thank you enough for everything you all did!”
