Just a few of the lovely artworks that sold during our Late Summer Exhibition which closed on Sunday. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed: artists, visitors, stewards and buyers. See you again next year! Watch this space for what’s coming in Spring…

@hilarygarner
I was showing someone around the barn who wants to hire it for a show, so I decided to make a video so you can all have a look.
I’m getting better at it… sort of. My editing skills are a bit basic! 😆 Pity about the gormless expression but I couldn’t change it 🤷♀️ 😳
The launch exhibition is over! A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us in our new venture 🙏
I’m missing it already …
We are working on our hire rates and will publish them soon. If you have a creative idea for an event or would like to hire the space(s), please contact me: [email protected]

Todays featured artist at Holton Lodge Barn, Bill Jackson (Bill Jackson Film and Photography), is a penumbral investigator of appearances, and documents them using both visible and invisible light, working in stills and moving image. Bill spent 28 years lecturing and as Head of Departments in art schools in the West Midlands and Warwickshire, and developed curricula for Film, Photographic and Multi Media courses. He spent several years with the Photographers’ Gallery in London and left in 1986 to pursue his interest in electronic imaging and was one of the first photographic artists in the UK to do so. He spent 20 years in Cyberspace before returning to Earth investigating print-based media. He has consistently exhibited worldwide for over 40 years. In recent years he has re-lit his love of film making. His short experimental films have won many awards internationally and have received numerous nominations from the Indie Film Festival circuit worldwide. Over the last year he has been working closely with Chrysalis Records, Blue Raincoat Music and Bryter Music, the team behind the release of the forthcoming album The Endless Coloured Ways: The Songs Of Nick Drake, which have been adopted by various musicians. He has produced 23 films to accompany all the tracks soon to be released on the 7th July 2023. He has worked with artists such as David Gray, Fontaines D.C., John Parish and Aldous Harding, John Grant and Craig Armstrong. He now lives and works in Suffolk, whose timeless landscapes have inspired a number of works including his research into the Fromus Valley near Saxmundham. The four prints on show are from a series of works to be used in a large-scale projection as part of a production involving four other artists.... #suffolkphotographer #blackandwhitephoto #nightphotography#suffolkartist #suffolkartists #suffolkart #contemporaryart #britishartist #britishart #artineastanglia #eastanglianartists#artforwalls #interiorstyling#artforyourhome #artforsale #origi
