Feeding time for the tarantulas! Here's my daughters tarantula 'Ellie Sparkles' - a fantastic eater! She knew exactly where the cricket was but I'd been waiting for her to pounce for a few mins so I thought I'd speed the process up.. She got there before I did though 🙈
Still got a lot of growing to do, but she will be a stunning gal when she's fully grown! 🖤❤️

Lots and lots of legs!
A lot of people call millipedes 'centipedes'
Well there's a few massive differences between the two!
- the shape of their body: millipedes are tubular in shape, centipedes are flat.
- segments: millipedes are very similar to a shower hose/vacuum hose, centipedes have square segments
- legs: millipedes have 2 pairs of legs PER segment, centipedes have 1 pair
- toxicity: some millipedes release poisonous fluids as a way of defense, this is usually not harmful to humans. Centipedes are venomous as they are carnivores, they use their bite to inject venom into their prey. Some species can be quite harmful to humans but the smaller ones here in the UK are nothing to be afraid of!

Here's Verde the Giant Hooded Katydid! This is one of the largest species of katydid in the world, found in Indonesia. Their wingspan is quite impressive, it actually reaches around 25cm not 30cm like I say in the video (sorry 🙈) and although they can fly, it's more of a flutter from one branch to another.
