This 21st December will be the first ever United Nations designated World Meditation Day.

The Winter Solstice Day will see people around the globe united in meditation for inner peace and global harmony, to honour the adoption of this groundbreaking resolution. The UN maintains that modern science confirms the numerous benefits of meditation, and its profound impact on our lives. It is rooted in ancient practices and is an effective tool to achieve inner transformation and peace in the modern day.

Join Sister Jayanti, the Additional Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University. She has over 50 years’ experience of daily meditation practice, through which she has inspired countless individuals around the world to explore meditation, as a way of making positive changes to their lives. 👆🏽Manitha Neyam Trust is pleased to announce that the collaboration with our project partners: Meththa Foundation to supply prosthetic limbs to disadvantaged beneficiaries in the Vanni region has progressed well since it was inaugurated in April 2021. Despite the disruptions of the pandemic and the economic crisis, 15 mobile clinics have been conducted during this period in Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu and Mannar. Over 400 people have attended these clinics, of whom 210 were new beneficiaries. 150 new limbs have been fitted and repairs have been undertaken to a further 120 limbs. We thank our well-wishers for their continued support and wish to remind them of the recent exchange rate which has enabled us to continue the provision of a “state of the art” prosthetic limb and its maintenance over the short to medium term at a reasonably low cost of under £150.
