Had the recent pleasure of covering Nate & Matt's wedding celebrations, a lovely couple who travelled all the way from San Francisco to tie the knot at the picturesque St Donat's Castle. The venue was of particular significance to Nate who spent time at UWC Atlantic College studying. Despite the rain, there were no dampened spirits, just a fantastic day filled with plenty of laughter, smiles and good vibes!

Our Story

Welcome to Mark J Thurling Photography! I am a photographer based in the beautiful harbour village of Solva, Pembrokeshire. Much of my inspiration for my photography comes from the captivating scenery that this part of the world is renowned for. My initial focus was on landscape photography, something I still enjoy as I look to capture my own unique take on local sights. However, my main focus nowadays is the challenging world of portraitures and weddings. It is an area that interests me greatly, and one which feeds my desire to be creative.
