This is a fond farewell to an amazing company which I am so proud of. Poppy’s parties started in 2016 with myself, 5 costumes and a laptop- and grew into a group of 15+ entertainers, an amazing manager Chloe, thousands of amazing birthday memories for children and countless 5* reviews.
Through Poppy’s I’ve been a tiger at Elderflower Fields, a mermaid at a beach festival, I’ve created a magical Narnia with Rockinghorse Children's Charity and performed at Borde Hill Garden as Alice in Wonderland!
I have so many amazing memories and I know my entertainers do too. Sadly, although we bravely fought on through covid, lockdowns and the ups and downs of the economy, we’ve had to face facts and accept that with the current cost of living crisis we can’t continue- it’s time to say goodbye. We are still taking party enquiries up until the 31st of July, we want to go out with a bang!
I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who has booked a party with us or been at one of our events for letting us be a part of your children’s lives- something so special and magical. I hope that in some small way we made their childhoods magical too. With love and glitter, Rosie x

Tizzy the Tiger Facebook live party!

Join Tizzy the tiger for a Jungle Rumble-tastic time this Friday 17th April at 11am on Facebook live! As well as lots of dancing (OF COURSE), we'll be playing games, singing songs and going on an adventure, all using your own screen (and of course, a dash of imagination!). Suitable for ages 3+ and completely free, this is a great activity to kick start your weekend and give you that Friday feeling. Brought to you from the Poppy's Parties crew!

Our Story

Poppy’s Parties was created out of a desire to create unique, imaginative and immersive birthday parties which offered something a little different to the traditional musical statues or pass-the-parcel.

Our parties focus on the creative play aspect of parties and our characters inhibit a wonderful world of magic and make-believe, where anything is possible and every activity is an adventure! Every party has a special character who needs’ the children’s help to complete a mission or quest, whilst meeting some crazy characters and having a lot of fun along the way! Our ethos is all about creating a safe space in which the children can really have fun and let themselves go, which is why although all of our games are super high-energy, they are also non-competitive, so each child can join in without winning or losing.

Poppy’s parties has grown quickly, thanks in part to securing funding from Virgin Start-up; we now have 12 professional performers who are all trained to an exceptionally high standard, delivering parties all over Sussex, Surrey and South West London! We’ve also been working with festivals, events and different companies, and this year you can catch our particular brand of mischief and mayhem at Elderflower Fields, Chilled in a Field, Ridgeview Wine estate and Lingfield Prep School, to name a few!

Although we are growing, our key qualities remain the same; to provide an excellent service, to challenge pre-conceptions about what a party might be, and of course, to make all your birthdays and events magical.
