Flower of the month.

Daffodils are the March birth flower. 🌼
The daffodil symbolises rebirth and new beginnings.

I love March it’s my favourite time of the year. March has the first day of spring, evenings are getting lighter, days are getting warmer, sunny walks and the first signs of spring are settling in. Daffs and crocuses are popping up, forsythia is blooming yellow and green shoots emerging. It’s so my birthday month… 🤫

Daffs are a sappy stem and this is toxic to other flowers which can make your floral designs have a shorter life. Flower food can also encourage the sap to flow so should be avoided.

The customer brief was big. So I went BIG! Couldn’t actually get many more decorations on as it was hard finding the moss 🤣

Feeling crafty? Christmas Wreath making kits avaliable to order.
Ready at the end of November.

Kit includes the following:
* pre mossed base on a copper frame
* reel wire and stub wires
* dried goodies such as oranges, limes, cinnamon etc.
* raffia or ribbon bow
* pine cones
£20 per box. (You will need to buy or forage your own greenery.)

£30 for a luxury box. All the items as above but includes extra dried goodies and dried flowers to make your wreath full and extra special.

Heart shaped frames avaliable for an extra £3
Mixed greenery bundles £15

Instructions will be provided.

Collection avaliable from Lindfield or £3 charge for local delivery.

Christmas Wreath making workshops at the wonderful Wakehurst Place are nearly sold out!

Included in your workshop ticket is entrance to Wakehurst gardens so you can go for a wonder.

I hate to mention the C word in July but wreath making tickets are now live! I will be hosting my workshops at Wakehurst again. This is such an incredible place and you get free entry to the gardens with your tickets so do have a wonder round.

Lots of plants and flowers are toxic to cats. Be aware, especially this time of year when planting bulbs in the garden as lots are toxic when eaten.

Lillies are THE worst for cats!! Even the water that lillies are in is poisonous ☠️ cats can die quickly.

I have a gorgeous black cat and as my studio is at home I will never use lillies in my floristry and always explain this when discussing funeral flower orders.
