Based between Leeds and London, Mabgate have brought together cinematic Jazz, Funk and groove instrumentals from around the globe. Their spiritual sessions focus on spooky, ethereal Jazz melodies that sit on top of dark, driving grooves, drawing inspiration from the likes of El Michels Affair, Arthur Verocai and BADBADNOTGOOD. Perfect for Easy Sunday’s laid back vibe.

Check out their sophomore release, the self titled EP which builds on the back of their first record, From The Mabgate Basement, both critically acclaimed by the likes of Jamie Cullum and Jamz Supernova and enjoying features on Jazz FM, Selector Radio and 6 Music as part of their New Music Fix Friday programme.

Fresh from sets at We Out Here festival, the EFG London Jazz Festival and support slots for acts including Steam Down, Vels Trio, Run Logan Run and Binker & Moses this is a trio on the rise.

With special guest dj set from Slackears (Chapter 4) and residents Geo and D-Tone will be providing a mix of afrojazzfunk and eclectic chill to accompany the relaxing Sunday Easy experience with beautiful Indonesian Cuisine on offer from Dapur Nin

Summoning an intricate mix of electronic and acoustic layers, with influences all the way from Afro-funk to Modern Jazz, Plantfood are a Leeds-based 6 Piece taking inspiration from artists ranging from John Coltrane to Nubiyan Twist. 2023 saw them headlining the Croissant Neuf stage at Glastonbury, credited as Papaoul’s “best discovery of Glastonbury” and they ended the year as winners of the 2023 Drake Yolanda award.
