Our Menu’s will be published today. ( sorry for the delay, been so busy getting all the works done ready for opening day this coming Wednesday, 15th Jan).
We think we have got a really good selection, we welcome suggestions and special requests.
We open at 12pm on 15th Jan, bookings already in full swing which is great and we thank each and every one of you for your support. ❤️
We will open at 12 for the first two weeks, food served from 12 until 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 12 until 4pm on a Sunday, evening meals on a Sunday will be available but pre booking required please.
Come Feb we will be open from 9am for breakfast, coffee, toasted tea cakes etc.
Sky sports available from 21st Jan, so in plenty of time for the first 6 nations. 🏉, food will still be served in the restaurant and lounge as normal, food will be available in the sports bar also.
Our opening night we have a fantastic singer/ guitarist Lance Jones from 8pm. Did I mention the opening night is 15th Jan 🍾🎉
Sunday Lunch start Sunday 19th Jan served 12-4pm, then at 4pm we have live music. Bookings for Sunday lunch now being taken.
Also bottomless brunch and afternoon teas available from Feb, please order 48 hours before, bookings being taken now.

We hope you all had a great NYE, we would love to have celebrated with you and been open for the first day of 2025 - however painting must commence.

We will publish the menu in the next few days along with introducing our chef and the team at The Gelli Bear. Bookings are being taken for food which will be served from midday on the 15th and 9am each day thereafter.
We do have the addition of a private dining room available for hire which sits 10, you have your own waiting staff designated to you for the duration.

In addition to us stocking Welsh whiskey we are pleased to annouce that we will also be stocking Welsh gin from the fantastic distillery in Pendryn and Multi awarding winning William Brothers cider from Caerphilly.

This is a fine quality distilled gin using botanicals from the four corners of the world and bottled at Penderyn Distillery using water from the Brecon Beacons National Park.

We will also be sourcing meat from an outstanding local butchers - Noel’s family butchers based in Ystrad Mynach. Noel’s have been a well known local butchers for over 20 years, quality meats and of course the important 5 star hygiene rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some of you may have seen there’s works going on at The Gelli Bear, which is exciting, we are still on target to be opening on the 15th Jan.
Any suggestions of what you would like at the Gelli 🐻 Bear are of course welcomed.
We are keeping the layout the same, so the restaurant will be on the first floor, lounge /restaurant on the ground floor at the front, sports bar ground floor at the back - SKY SPORTS will be available. Events/ function room will be added on early spring so available for up to 150 people, for wedding parties, birthdays what ever the 🎉 celebration
