🌟 Welcome to Khickster! 🌟

Here’s a little about me and my journey so far:

I started my career as a Butlins Redcoat Performer, where my love for bringing joy to others began. From there, I headed to university and spent my summers working at Camp Nock A Mixon in the USA, a place that solidified my passion for creating fun, community-centered experiences.

After graduating, I became a qualified PE teacher, progressing to teaching Maths and later Primary education, all while continuing to spend my summers at camp in America. But I dreamed of bringing that same family-oriented, exciting culture back to the UK. And so the Khickster journey began.

It all began in 2019, when I started running ad-hoc birthday parties alongside my work as a teacher. Then COVID hit, and everything changed. I took the business online, hosting virtual parties, live quizzes (huge shoutout to the amazing families who are still here!), and building an online presence—something completely outside my comfort zone.

Once the world began opening up again, I carried on teaching until summer 2021, when I finally launched our first American-themed camp, a dream inspired by my summers working at Camp Nock A Mixon in the USA, and the adventure hasn’t stopped since! It’s been an incredible journey of growth and creativity

Since then, we’ve expanded to include:

🎉 Khickster Events: birthday parties, discos, game shows and even weddings!
🤝 Team Building Days (introduced at the end of 2024).
🏊 Khickster Pools for Schools, delivering swimming lessons to local primary schools.
🎒 After-school programmes now running in 3 separate schools.

And hired some incredible staff that have been a part of this journey and the reason for much of the success! I will forever be grateful to everyone who has been a part of the journey with me.

Everything started with a simple goal: to create meaningful, fun, and family-focused experiences. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come and so grateful for everyone who’s supported us along the way.

We love seeing friendships blossom at camp through activities, laughter and teamwork. Whether it’s arts and crafts, sports, theatre, dance or group challenges, these moments create bonds and skills that children carry with them far beyond their time at camp. It’s amazing to see how quickly connections form when children are having fun, learning new skills and working together. Everyday we aim to make our camps packed with opportunities to make new friends and build confidence in a positive, welcoming environment. at Khickster, it’s more than just about the activities, it’s a place where friendships flourish and new skills are developed! 💫👫

Canterbury Camp - 23rd of December.🎄❄️ What an amazing day we had! From sports, parachute games to crafting snowmen and festive creations, the Christmas spirit was everywhere. 🌟 And to top it all off, we ended the day with an incredible trip to see Peter Pan at the Canterbury Panto! 🧚‍♂️✨ The perfect day of fun, laughter, friendships and Christmas magic. 🎅❤️
