Carols by Candlelight
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday at Choppards Mission. A collection for Choppards Mission will be taken at the end of the service.
This event is usually very popular. Please travel by foot or public transport if possible. If bringing a car, please remember to park considerately, leaving gateways clear and ensuring sufficient space for emergency vehicles to pass. Thank you.

Butterflies & Booze at Choppards Mission. Friday 22 Sept 7.00 pm.
A fun social evening in conjunction with Taste Wine Merchants of Almondbury. Wine tasting and a light-hearted quiz, plus the opportunity to buy wine at discount. Why not make up a table with friends and neighbours and see if you really can tell the difference between Shiraz and Merlot!
Cheese and nibbles will be served.
This will also be a final opportunity to see the Cloud of Blue Butterflies installation by local artist Celia Kilner.

Another successful event at Choppards Mission.
An audience of almost 40 people attended a fascinating presentation on 11 August by local poet Harriet Tarlo and local artist Judith Tucker, entitled Poetry, Painting and Landscape. Harriet and Judith provided an insight to some of their joint projects, illustrated with a selection of paintings and accompanying readings. Afterwards guests enjoyed a supper and the opportunity to discuss the presentation and to catch up with friends. The event raised funds for the heritage Choppards Mission building. What a tremendous Holmfirth Artweek Fringe Exhibition that ended on 8th July. Contributions from so many talented artists from the Pen*stone Art Collective and exhibited below a cloud of butterflies, a spectacular installation by local artist Celia Kilner. Can't wait for next year!
