at you want for your special day, without paying over the odds. Our top tips for booking suppliers for venue decoration, chair covers and accessories. One size does not fit all venue chairs
Some companies offer a very cheap service because they have only 1 set of covers that they use for everywhere and they dont launder or press them properly. This doesn't work - unless you dont care what they are going to look like. We pride ourselves on making sure that our covers fit at the venue we've been booked for. As a result, we have a huge range of covers that fit most Essex Venue chairs. We have made some bespoke covers for certain venues. We make sure that we take the time to ensure that everything looks great for your special day. If you are buying cheap, ask the copmpany to show you a photo of their cover on the venue chairs, or meet you at the venue to show you what they look like. This proves they have the covers to fit. We have had several last minute panic calls from clients and other suppliers and venues, asking us to supply covers for the venue, because theirs dont fit ! Again, less is more and a one or two colour theme works well. but dont be afraid to go for bold colours, they look fab when mixed with the white chair covers and linens. Sash Loan
We offer a free sash loan service, which brides have told us is invaluable. Its a real time saver if you can carry a sash around with you when you're out shoping, as often you cant remember the exact shade to match with. Exact matching isn't as imortant as many people think but it is important that you dont get a horrible clash. We send our brides sash samples to approve the shades at their leisure. Then we ask for them to be returned when they've finished with them. This is also useful if you're not sure what shade you want and you're not under pressure to make a quick decision. Ask for confirmation of what you are getting for your money
You may be offered chair covers at a cheap price, when we hear that someone has been offered cheap covers we always say thats great, but make sure you ask what type of cover it will be so that you can make a realistic comparison of products on offer.( eg lycra, linen type/ other,) what condition they will be in
eg are they laundered and pressed are they white – or grey and stained with holes!! Dont be afraid to ask, we are never offended by these sort of questions, it gives us the opportunity to tell clients about the great quality of our goods and services! Ask if there are any other costs involved
A lot of companies will hook you in with a cheap offer, then add on higher delivery and set up charges, or forget to tell you that it doesnt include vat. We always tell our clients about our charges up front. We offer free delivery set up & collection with our bespoke service for venues within a 20 mile radius of us and charge a fee for a same night/late night collection. For other distances we quote a travel fee up front. We also offer diy and delivery only services at reduced prices to suit your budget. Ask for help, advice and suggestions
If your're not organising a wedding every day, its sometimes difficult to know what you need and what you need to do. Most people are very busy trying to juggle organising their wedding along with everyday life and work. When you book our bespoke service, we organise all of the delivery set up and collection details with the venue, so you dont need to worry about anything. Less is more
We also offer advice on what we think you will need for venue decorations. People often get carried away with buying lots of bits and pieces to put on the tables. This is an unnecesaary expense, which make the tables look too busy. A few subtle additions to your centrepieces, such as table mirror plates scattered with jewels or petals is enough to create a great look without costing a fortune or overcrowding the table. Matching table runners and table swags are also a good way to tie in your theme colours without costing a fortune. Candy Buffets
Candy buffets are proving to be a really popular feature. They can be used in addition, or as an alternative to favours. Our competitively priced candy buffets look great displayed in a selection of apothecary jars and other vases, trimmed with ribbon in your matching theme colours, with a complementary table swag. Silver scoops and tongs are provided, along with personalised candy bags, with your names on them. Contemporary Floral Centrepieces and Ostrich Feather Centre Pieces
Brides are moving away from the traditional top table "funeral sheaf" look and going for more contemporary, floral centrepieces. Our centrepieces are simple displays, which can be a much more cost effective way to decorate your tables. We offer fresh floral centrepieces and artifical posies. Candlesticks are also an alternative to more expensive flowers. Our Ostrich Feather displays are made from beautiful high quality wing feathers and can really create a wow factor for your tables, without breaking the bank. We believe that our quality products and customer service is what has made us successful – even in the current financial climate. Our reputation for quality products and a friendly and helpful service is growing within the wedding business. More and more Essex Venues have heard of us and are happy to recommend us, which is a great tribute to our work.
