Never did I ever expect to walk away having won first place at Cake International 2022, in the MY COUNTRY category, taking inspiration from my dog walks with Sidney. It still seems unreal when I go onto the website and my cake is being used to promote the biggest cake show in the world, even two years later. Such an inspiration to all first timers. It was my first time, I entered hoping that I would not get disqualified, so was amazed when I was awarded Silver and First Place. I was just two points short of Gold…
Plans are well underway for this years pieces… but it’s all hush hush until after the judges have made their decision, but one things for sure, there will be lots of work going on behind the scenes…

Hi and welcome all… many of you will already know me. I specialise in making hand crafted flowers made entirely from sugar.
I started many many years ago in Exeter,Devon. When I took a group of classes with the local cake shop called crafty cakes, then one day Alan Dunn came to do a class, and I was hooked. I sat in awe of his expertise, and his ability to make such wonderful lifelike creations.
Many years later in 2021, I went for the first time to Cake International, no where else, will you meet so many talented artists in one place, and we’re all, one big happy family… in 2022 I entered the compitition and won Best in class, 3 silver medals, two bronze and merit, for my work with sugar. It was here that I met so many amazing people, that I had followed for years, including the now late, Nicolas Lodge.. who sadly passed away, his work was amazing and he is missed by all. There’s also the amazing Natalie Porter from , whos lessons helped create many cakes over the years, Zoe, from , who is the master of modelling, David and Paul, from , who cover everything I need to know to run a successful cake business, from VAT to FLYING BUGS ( the cake type) … And quite literally everything inbetween… and the team from Bakediary who keep me organised. (And with ADHD … that’s a real challenge )

So here I am. I’m a little introverted, a little crazy, passionate about animals and love.. love.. love …nature ..
So follow along if you want to know more about me… what I’m up to & what I’m making .. it’s gonna be friendly and welcoming , but mostly, all about my sugar addiction
