Town Hall Update
Invergordon Museum and Highland Castle Entertainment Ltd are delighted to announce that all forms with regard to the Asset Transfer for( Invergordon Theatre & Cinema) Town hall have been submitted and we believe we have a really strong case.
Along with the application we submitted several different petitions with regard to the Town Hall with, in the region of, 700 signatures. We have additionally submitted 5 letters of support for our application from local schools, a letter of support from Edward Mountain (Conservative MSP), a letter of support from Rhoda Grant (Labour MSP), a letter of support from Jamie Stone (Liberal Democrat MP), a letter of support from Todd (SNP MSP), a letter of support from MaRaes of scotland, a letter of support from Dalriada, a letter of support from Invergordon Development TRUST and Saltburn and Westwood Community Council (who have been working with and advising us on this project), a letter of support from Tanstar Gifts , a letter of support from Invergordon Church of Scotland and a letter of support for Architecture and Design Scotland - A&DS
In addition to this we have also submitted letters of support, promising financial backing, from both PSG marine and Logistics and Whyte and Mackay Whisky .
The reason we want you to know this is because we want to reiterate to you that what we are doing isn't about the museum, it is about all the people who will benefit from the Town Hall if our plans are able to go ahead.
We would just like to add a special thanks to Col Gordon and Sarah Nicholas who have supported us throughout and were assisting with our application in the latter stages prior to submission.
We will issue an update with any response from the The Highland Council , who are acting on behalf of the Common Good Fund and we are hoping we will soon be able to get our plans for the Town Hall in motion.
