From time to time there is something magical that captures you. Dropping off Jen & John's flowers on Friday night to the stunning House of Elrick, I don't know if it was the congregation of friends and family reuniting, this gorgeous weather we're having or the fact it's Spring and full of new possibilities and life, but this wedding has me feeling so joyful!

Jen asked for big headed blooms in raspberry, hot pink and red, and here we are! Modern, loud and unforgettable!

Congratulations to the happy couple, who have kindly sent pictures of the bridal bouquet chilling on honeymoon too, in Ireland!

Last week, we took in our first bouquet of the season for preservation. Here is your friendly reminder to not leave booking in your bouquet until after the wedding, don't stress out poor Mum with finding someone when you're on a plane to your honeymoon - I saw it all too many times last year!

It's a lovely keepsake from your wedding day, along with the photos and (sometimes) the other half!

Don't just take our word for it, though. Sarah kindly emailed some feedback yesterday:

"I just wanted to say a big final thank you for my flower preservation. It's absolutely stunning, and I can't thank you enough for the beautiful piece of art that you have created. It's already had so many compliments!"

PAPER & PETALS IS 10 TODAY! 🥳

As I reflect over what has been an extremely quick decade, with the exception of Kenny lad, Paper & Petals has been the one constant in my life! It's seen me through 7 changes in motor, 4 jobs, a house move, local O&G recession and a global pandemic.

Quite honestly, when I started in 2015 it was just a creative outlet for me half way through an accounting apprenticeship, spending many days in an audit room at BP. I never thought it would grow to what it is today, providing my only source of income.

A HUGE thanks to everyone who has used us over the years, be it for a workshop, bouquet, one of the near 500 couples we've worked with or anything else along the way.

I enjoyed a little lookback through the archive of photos, including some of the first weddings I ever did in each field, memorable moments and achievements! Enjoy!

I can't say what the next 10 years will hold, but follow along for the ride, there is guaranteed to be pretty stationery, bonnie blooms and my occasionally witty banter.

A huge congratulations to Nicole and Harrison who married last month at the after first meeting in 2014!

I get excited about new places and a wee road trip, and this venue did not disappoint. It's got a modern twist with exposed brick and metal beams, but with the rural charm of being on the farm! LOVED it.

Today was a truly special day at Pittodrie House. Our Christmas Wreath Workshop brought together a wonderful group of people, all creating beautiful, handcrafted wreaths using fresh, seasonal greenery. 12 days of Christmas 🌲 Day 9 ~ September For our 10 year anniversary I secretly arranged an elopement to @thecraigellachie to renew our vows.
