We meet on the first Monday of each month in Breakish Hall, 8pm

Breakish Folk Club is an inclusive musical get together. Musicians, singers, storytellers, dancers and listeners are welcome and all genres of acoustic music are welcome. The Club is held on the first Monday of each month in Breakish Hall from 8pm. Cost £3 (under 18s FREE)
BYOB, tea and coffee provided.

A big thanks to Sarah Hanniffy and Fionnlagh Mac A’Phiocair of The Solas Collective for a really lovely evening of music and song on Monday at the club…a perfect tonic for the start of the winter nights!

Next club night 4th November we will be welcoming some special guest artists alongside the regular club members contributions - it's sure to be a cracking night! 7.30pm start, £6 adults, £3 under 16's. Fabulous raffle too! Hope to see you there!

We had a great time at Breakish Folk Club last night with lots of contributions from folks near and far. Furthest travelled for sure were John, Bill and Tom from South Dakota who treated us to some old-time and country style tunes on fiddle, guitar and nyckelharpa. I asked if their band had a name? Bill replied, "Not really". So here they are, "Not really" from South Dakota with a Danish tune, Grandad's 6/8er!

Breakish Hall will be closed on Monday 3rd April due to roof work taking place currently. Our friends at Talla Lusa have agreed to let us use their lovely space for the forthcoming Breakish Folk Club meeting. Same time: different place!

Directions to Talla Lusa (coming from Breakish) are as follows: After Ashaig Airstrip, don’t take first turning with road bollards after that there are 4 bollards quite close together so drive slow, take the second set. Down there, past a big wooden barn on your left, then a stone bothy on your left, then you take next left signposted Talla Lusa and car park is round the back

We had a great turn-out at Breakish Folk Club last night for 'The Cattachs and the Gallachs of the Grey Coast' with music by Gordon Gunn and Andy Thorburn and words from George Gunn. Abair oidhche!

That's it for 2022 - hopefully we will see you again all next year.
