Their magical wedding happened on Saturday, and it was a really special one for me because I did the flowers for her sister's wedding a few years ago 🩷 It was so wonderful to see their whole family again, and for them to trust us to create their vision.

They started off as urns outside the church, but we reduced the height of these arrangements when we moved them, because the wind was quite high! I had visions of them sailing off through the garden, or landing on someone 😆

We chose to do something more natural and meadowy, instead of a pair of urns, in Wickhambreaux church. And they were easily movable, which was a joy on such a hot day!

It was touch-and-go for a while, but the sun came out for Lucy & Tom!
Isn't this just the perfect sailcloth marquee for a farm or country wedding? The whole setting was so perfect 💛 The bride and groom did lots of work, creating pretty planters outside, haybale seating and building outdoor tables and even fencing. It was a labour of love, and their results were fantastic. Hats off!
We finished the entrance with a pair of big milk churn arrangements 🤍

I do love super-pretty buttonholes. We tend to use single larger roses for gentlemen and little spray roses for ladies 🩷
Lucy & Tom's beautiful reception 💛 They had a really good eye for detail, and the marquee looked stunning. I particularly loved their wicker lampshades!

It was pretty tricky to source them at this time of year - I have masses growing, but none in flower, and the same goes for many local growers - this summer hasn't been too warm yet!

The prettiest pew ends at 🩷 You'd be surprised at the impact good aisle markers/pew ends can make - and the joy is that they can be easily moved to a reception venue!

These fabulous meadow-style aisle markers at became table centrepieces after Aimée & Jake's ceremony. The flower boxes were so fun, with p***y orange Fritilleria Imperialis in them!

All the texture in Aimée's big bouquet! This bride had a real eye for design, and created the most beautiful hand-embroidered place settings for their dining tables, plus all sorts of other fabulous details.
She knew she wanted her bouquet to be big, asymmetrical and a bit wild, so I had a lot of fun designing it! 🧡

The importance of AISLE FLOWERS! These are our more expensive aisle jars, crammed full of blooms. BUT they're big enough to double-up as table centrepieces afterwards. Floral arch, stage 1, as the sun was setting on Friday evening ⛳ All I can say is sandbags, sandbags and more sandbags!
