We hope you all are happy with what we have all managed to turned around together in just a couple of days. We are blown away TBH. 😌

Now is the tough bit though, we could really use some help over the coming days and week to help spread the word, and make this incredible opportunity the very best it can be please.🙏

Just three days has seen some incredible endorsement of this idea of the city coming together, such as... Emma Hardy, HCC, Mike Ross, Hull Folk and Maritime Festival, Pride in Hull, Prospect Shopping Centre, C4DI, Sadofskys, Hull's 107FM, The HEY Smile Foundation, Adelphi, The Welly, Propaganda Hull, O'Rileys, Fuel, Hessle Road Network, Talking Works, Hull & East Riding LGBTQI+ Forum & Ella Street Festival, not forgetting you all, our amazing . However, we need so many more organisations on board and spreading the word!

With conversations coming up with Hull Live, BBC Humberside and more, we think things are really going to snowball now and this is going to get real, but we cannot rest until it is absolutely nailed on!

We now need to get the word out to every possible digital page or group, we need every venue, event organiser or community group who may have an event for Bank Holiday Sunday to gear up with us and come together as one. We need posters in as many shop windows as we can get them. We also need the endorsement and support of as many people and organisations in the city as humanly possible, not to counter protest, but to show Hull's very best side and shine as a community of compassionate and decent people, for the whole country to see!

To make sure we achieve that together, please spread the word out to every digital corner of this and any platform you can and or if you can help put out posters let us know (PM), or if you can get your workplace or community group to get involved in something , please get them to give us a shout.

OUR EMAIL TO OVER 100 KEY PEOPLE & ORGANISATIONS TODAY - LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN...

Good Afternoon,

We are a community group formed of concerned individuals who want to see a very positive turnaround from the awful displays we saw in the city last weekend.

Between our various members, we have a long history of a range of experience in matters such as marketing, events, community organisation and many other areas that made it feel incumbent upon us as a group to act, swiftly, to propose a very positive alternative display against the horrible violence and awful conduct that is becoming all too widespread across the country now.

We just want to see the story turned around and a huge positive news story and experience across the city to lift the awful feeling that has been left behind and to hopefully gain enough attention to encourage other cities to consider doing similar.

There may be issues with our society that need sensible discussions, but violence, threat and fear is never the answer and we need the people who may be intrigued by the messages put out by certain individuals with very visible platforms to see very positive alternative paths to be inspired by also.

Therefore, we write this email with the hope that your organisation may consider supporting, joining, sharing our even taking a part in leading our proposed initiative, which may even be the first of other peaceful proposals to enhance harmony, community and happiness in our city.

We are not at all proprietorial about this idea, we would gladly see it led to successful fruition by a better equip official body perhaps, but in the vacuum of such a possibility, we feel it is important for the community who want to, to come together in solidarity, so we will work with any and all positive organisations until such a time, to ensure the perpetrators of hatred and violence do not win the hearts of many in this city.


We very much hope that your organisation will join with us in this effort.

Please share our message.

Please get involved in making this concept a success for the city if you can.

Please help anyone organising an event on the day to publicise it.

Please help enhance and develop the message of solidarity as a city to the whole country however your organisation can best!

Please help turn this awful negative into a huge positive for the future of the city.

We only launched our page this morning . By the end of the day we will likely have 500 followers from a standing start.

Thank you so much for not only putting up with a despicable weekend in the city, but for also lending us your confidence and support in trying to bring people together to do something very positive about it.

Obviously we have had to work very fast in the aftermath of the weekend's events.

We are liaising with various businesses and organisations across the city and will be back to you with an array of organisations standing in unity to take our positive, shoulder to shoulder stand.

We will absolutely show how we are a world away from what was seen in our city on Saturday! ❤️
