I’m so excited😆 (spaces are limited so be quick)

We can’t wait to have Amanda from round to run her wreath making workshop! It’s sure to be a great wee evening, with fizz, mince pies, chocolates and giggles to bring the Christmassy vibes whilst you create a stunning wreath with the help of Amanda’s expertise.

Wreath Workshop…..

You simply can’t beat a Lauder shopping night! Such fun at The Spotty Dog last night catching up with friends and making new.

In fact, it was so much fun we decided to put on a fizz & wreath making evening on Sat 30th November. Details to follow (you can let Nat, Mark or myself know if you’re interested) 😁

🎄 My wreath order book is open! (with limited wreaths available)

Last year was the first time I sold Christmas wreaths. My goodness I was soooo busy, which came as a happy shock.

As fun as last years wreathing was - This year I am much better prepared with an order diary, sensible pricing (£35), suppliers, sundries & even shed space 😁 (my house was like a Christmas forest last year! 🙄)

Grab & Go’s will be available in Stow Post Office mid December & I will be in The Spotty Dog on shopping night (by the booze 😜).

HUGE thanks for all the fun, the messages, orders & support 😁 my flowery season has come to an end 🌺

It’s been a busy one! I shall miss the pick up’s & of course the Friday Flower drop off (Allison & I do like a chat!)

Some blooms are fighting the elements (including cosmos, sunflowers & scabious) but are looking battered & bruised!

I expected to return from my trip down South to blooming chrysanths….. there is still just the one in bloom 🤷🏼‍♀️ when they decide to appear I shall enjoy them in my kitchen 😁

Hasn’t it been lovely to have some sunshine ☀️ to enjoy this week. The dogs & I enjoyed a weekend in the garden - especially splitting the chocolate mint plants. Their scent made my mouth water!

Sorry, there won’t be flowers Stow Post Office this week due to a family commitment.

But…..Hopefully this sunshine will bring the next chrysanthemums into bloom ready for next week 🤞 there is just one rather small Astro Bronze making an appearance, a lovely autumnal colour making me smile every time I walk past 🥰

I discovered shoofly (Nicandra Physalodes) at a and bouquet workshop last year. Arabella gave me a seed head (which if I’m being honest sat in my pocket for a while before moving to the utility room windowsill) 🙄

Look at the number of seeds that one seed head holds?! It makes buying seeds seem incredibly expensive.

Especially given the number that germinated from that one seed head, admittedly several seedlings were murdered by slugs but the ones that survived have been super.

Definitely saving more of my own seed heads from my fave flowers for next year 🌱 Thank you 😁👌

I’m feeling a little bit chuffed with myself today!

The flowers are looking lovely and I have taken a step further in my flowery journey 😁

Thanks to my long suffering tech support, graphic designing brother in law from ThirdBear Press for all his time and patience in helping me with my logo, business and care cards. (He doesn’t know that there are wreath care cards and a website in the making…. Yet!)

Friday flowers Stow Post Office with a boxed vase for a self care treat or gift 🌺

A friend recently asked me why “Braeburn Blooms”

When we moved we loved that the house was named after the children of the family that built it 45ish years ago.

That was until we had to continually spell it and I kept getting it wrong 😑

As our house sits on a bank and has a small stream at the bottom of the garden, my mother in law (originally from Hawick) suggested the name “Braeburn”

“Brae” means hill and streams are called “burns” here in Scotland. So the house was renamed and Braeburn Blooms followed ❤️

There is an apple tree in the garden, I was really hoping it’d produce Braeburn apples unfortunately it’s are crab apple tree 🤢

Fab blossom though! 😂

Fancy a bunch of locally grown scented seasonal blooms tomorrow? To collect in Lauder or Stow Post Office Let me know on 07809425241 or simply message me 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed taking my time cutting today and separating the colours.
It helps me see how much I have actually cut whilst they are having a good drink and easier to bunch later.
Depending on order numbers this week I may even cut again before the rain comes 😁.

But first a coffee ☕️
