This was my attempt at a millenium falcon… it needs at slight alteration at the front, but for a first try, I am pretty happy with it.

I am looking forward to the extra bank holiday!

How is everyone celebrating? We are having a street party, bring and share afternoon tea - I think I might make a load of sceptres and give one to all the children that will be attending (they will inevitably just become swords, but it should add to the fun for the children).

🌈🎈Rainbow Balloons 🎈🌈

I think this might be my favourite balloon design. I love the colours of it. I made this for a extra special little girls 4th birthday. It appeared with the gifts and near the cake at her party (more photos to follow). She is the girliest of little girls (anything butterfly, rainbow or unicorn based is very much up her street) and so the rainbow balloon was exceptionally popular.

My big 2 often ask for a Balloon sword - they love sword fighting ⚔️🤦🏼‍♀️ I suppose that’s typical for 4 and 6 years old…

There are plenty of different designs for balloon swords, from a simple sword (like the blue one) to a more complicated and stronger sword (like the pink one)…. But, I think personally, the yellow sword with its ornate handle is my favourite. what do you think?

Happy World Book day all!

What has your child gone into school as? My 6 year old wanted to be Harry Potter. 🪄🦉📚

I looked at how to make Hedwig but didn’t like both balloons being white as the feathers/eyes/wings didn’t have enough contrast…. So we are using a bit of artistic license on this one.

A lovely rainbow of animals.

For a 5th birthday party last weekend, I was asked to do a selection of animals. Rabbits, butterflies, elephants and dogs went down very well.

A rather lovely 4 year old boy asked me about which dinosaur balloons I can make last week… Steggy, dippy and Rex came to mind 🦖🦕🎈

These are designed as either party bag fillers… or to be the party bag.😉 My 6 year old has been to parties where the party bag was a balloon and a slice of cake… and before I learnt about balloon twisting he loved these as a party bag… now our house is too full of balloon animals 🙈
