All food donations going to Leeds South and East Food Bank, and we'll even be donating £100 of food items ourselves.

The first 10 customers to exchange corn with us at Leeds Corn Exchange on Saturday July 1st (or any other food item that we will then donate to Leeds South and East Food Bank) will be awarded the exclusive medal pictured below in trade, with all other exchangers receiving a commemorative 'happy corn is exchanged corn' sticker'.

These are designed by our brand new artist LoudRibs, whose full range we are very excited to be launching in-store on the day.

This is a great opportunity not only to support your local food bank but to finally use the Corn Exchange for its true intended historical purpose, and perhaps to win a shiny medal, so don't miss out! ✊️

Finally!

On Saturday 1st July, we are giving the folk of Leeds the opportunity to exchange their corn with us at Leeds Corn Exchange, just as nature intended. 🌽🌽🌽

To celebrate the launch in-store, and in collaboration with local artist LoudRibs, the first ten people to exchange corn with us (or any other food items) at Indie Makers will be awarded an actual medal in trade!

Subsequent corn exchangers will each receive a commemorative corn exchanger sticker, all designed and provided by LoudRibs himself.

All food donations will go directly to Leeds South and East foodbank, and we are also pledging to donate £100 of food items ourselves to this great cause on the day.

This is a one day only event at Indie Makers, Leeds Corn Exchange, so be sure not to miss out.

We're now 2 months into our time in our new shop, and what a 2 months it's been!!

Thank you so much to everyone who has visited us, followed us on social media or sent us messages of support - we truly appreciate every single one of you! The new shop has been a steep learning curve for us but we're loving every minute. Moving into a bigger unit was always a risk and I'd be lying if I said we weren't scared when we first signed the lease. But we shouldn't have worried- now we can fit so many more people in at once without having the dreaded log jam!

At Indie Makers, we have been shocked and saddened by the death of Brianna G**y and the violent rhetoric surrounding the trans community in the UK right now. As a team we want to express our solidarity with the trans and gender non-conforming community, and make it clear that Indie Makers is a safe space for LGBT+ people.

We currently have a part time vacancy at our new and expanded Leeds Corn Exchange store for Mondays and Tuesdays only on an ongoing basis (with possibility of holiday cover and future seasonal hours).

Applicants must be outgoing, self-motivated and personable and with a passion for supporting independent makers/businesses, previous retail experience would be helpful but is not essential.
