Get your New Year off to a flying start by coming along to our super fun free Junior Tennis Extravaganza at Knighton Tennis Centre on Sunday19th Jan 2025.

All junior players are welcome from 8 years up to hit some balls with our top Leicestershire County coaches and it doesn't matter if you already play for your club, only just had a racket bought for Xmas or are keen to play for your school - everybody is welcome. The most important thing is to meet other players and have fun for free!

And parents can meet Prof. Chris Harwood who will explain how good Tennis is for both the mental and physical aspects of life plus how parents can nurture a young player to make the best of their talent.

Members of the Tennis Leicestershire Board will also be on hand to discuss all the hard work that makes Leicestershire Tennis, and it's clubs, safe & well organised with plenty of opportunity to be coached, play for teams or just just meet lots of like minded friends.

As part of The FA's commitment to addressing the under representation of Black, Asian and Mixed Heritage referees, more opportunities are accessible now than ever before. To support football being truly a game for all, FA Refereeing and Leicestershire FA are delighted to offer bursaries across our most popular FA Refereeing Courses.

The bursary programme has been developed to support individuals who may be facing barriers to getting involved in refereeing. We want to create a more inclusive referee workforce and will be offering FA Refereeing Courses at a discount rate of £40 for Black, Asian and Mixed Heritage populations across the county.

The initiative is aligned to the FA Refereeing Strategy to wider goal of helping to increase referee recruitment from historically underrepresented ethnic communities.
