‼️RANT POST‼️

This is something I would literally never do, I’m such a suck it up and get on with things person but quite frankly I am sick to death of the level of disrespect we are starting to experience more often than not from hirers.

This is a Softplay set and castle we hired for a wedding, when we arrived upon collection, the Softplay was found in complete disarray along with the balls, which I was made to feel bad about, despite the fact they were scattered all over the field and is one of the only things we ask of the hirer, that the balls are back in the ballpit.

The hirer felt shocked that we had contacted her post event, to ask that she pays a cleaning fee, what would normally take us 20mins to collect took us 1hour and a half, we do this business because we are free to bring our children along, and work less hours so that we can spend more time with them. We brought our children out with us on this occasion and god bless their little hearts, what a shame that they had to sit there whilst mummy and daddy had to make sure everything was cleaned properly so the dirt and grim that was left on our Softplay didn’t set and leave marks that we would not be able to remove.

As a business that relies solely upon aesthetic this is a heavy burden to bare but one we always do, but the level of filth and grime left upon this Softplay, baring in mind it had not rained at all during the time the Softplay was out on this field was despicable and inexcusable. We now have two items from this set that quite frankly cannot be used again due to how filthy they were and now the items will never be “white” again.

In perspective this job has cost us almost £300 from the Softplay we have had to replace and further costs for new cleaning equipment as the ones we stock for a normal user and normal level of mess we’d expect didn’t even scratch the surface with the grime and dirt on the equipment.

‼️Please please do not hire from small businesses if you think this is even remotely acceptable. You have no idea how financially catastrophic this can be and not only that but we are human too and the mental wear this has on a person is unimaginable. ‼️

Peter Rabbit is literally a favourite for a reason and this mum wanted it all for her girl turning one - we supplied balloons, Picnic Tables and our Softplay. The set up was gorgeous and I’m sure this little one has the most perfect day🤍
