Wood you believe it? 🪵 we only went and left a review for J F Timber Ltd.

When we needed some serious wood (the kind for building, not the kind for partying), JF Timber LTD came to the rescue! Their kiln-dried redwood arrived in just 2 days, and it’s as light as a feather.

Now coated with Osmo 420 clear it’s ready to be fitted to our HB510.

From the initial order to the speedy delivery, the whole process was a breeze. If you need wood, these guys are the real deal!

Rust be gone! 🚫 We’re taking our time to ensure a quality build. We removed the old side panels and tackled some surface rust with a bit of grinding and a coat of Hammerite. Now, the HB510 is ready for the new side panels. 🛠️

Broken door frame? What’s that?

Yesterday we ground off the galvanized coating from the steel, welded it back together, and ground down any bumps for a fresh coat of Hammerite paint.

This repair is good as new! 💪

What a day! We might have been working in the cold, but the progress we made kept us warm. We completed the welding, applied a protective coat of Hammerite paint to the steel, and even managed to get the first coat of Osmo 420 on a section of cladding.

No photos of the work yet, but here’s a glimpse of the delicious burgers we enjoyed after a long day of hard work.

Tomorrow, we’ll continue building the HB510 instead of stripping it down. Stay tuned for more updates!

Exciting news! Our HB510 food truck conversion is taking shape. This Saturday, we’re getting the welding done, which is a major milestone. Once that’s complete, we’ll move on to cladding, insulation, painting, flooring, lighting, and all the other finishing touches. Stay tuned for updates on our progress!

Today, the Littlehampton U16s took on East Grindsted U16s, and we were on hand to re-fuel them with our delicious Mac ‘n’ Cheese and 3-2-1 Smoked Pork Ribs. 🤤

A twist in the food truck build! 🛠️

When we discovered the original panels on our HB510 were rotten, we had a decision to make. We opted for a unique solution: Thermowood V-Cut Tongue & Groove from JF Timber LTD.

The panels arrived in record time & already look stunning!

We’ve spent the evening cutting them to size, not an easy task in the darker evenings, & can’t wait to see the finished product after a coat of Osmo 420 clear.

Rain or shine, the food truck build is on! 🌧️🛠️

We’ve been hard at work stripping down our Ifor Williams HB510. While we might not be horse box experts, we’re definitely not afraid to roll up our sleeves and get dirty!

The interior panels came off smoothly, the rubber floor is out along with the other internals and the floor has had a scrub.

Next up: a good old-fashioned jet wash to clean everything up. 🚿

We’ve encountered a few rusty bolts along the way, but we’re ready to replace them with shiny new ones. 🔩
